As for an introduction, I'm 24 and my first console was the Super Nintendo. It wasn't until the PS1 stage however where I really started to enjoy gaming as I had more control of what games to buy. Somewhere along the line I became an addict to blizzard and online games on the PC and I've missed out on some quality single player games.
I'm no collector as I plan on moving around for the next few years but I enjoy playing games on their original hardware and controllers and currently into playing a lot of PS1 games. I'm also using video games as a means to get better at my Japanese.
I'm a student right now but I'll be done with my degree this year. Outside of gaming I love the grappling sports as well as boxing.
I put Diablo 1 onto my PSP as it's one of my favorite treasures. It's funny how a PS1 can handle Diablo 1 but highly doubtful that even the PS3 can handle Diablo 2

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
I am so old the first gaming system came out after I was born! I grew up with a 2600 and a TI99/4a (with the voice Synthesizer). We got a Coleco in the 80's and that truly was a great system. I graduated highschool and went to the Navy in 86 so by the time the NES came out I was on the move and honestly never got any quality time with one of the coolest systems ever. Met the love of my life in 89. Our first child came in June of 1990 since then we expanded our family to four children (ages 21, 16, 13 and 8 ). We play everything from the Genesis they started with on up to the PS3. We currently have Sega Genesis , Saturn (just got it), Dreamcast and GameGear. Nintendo N64, Wii, gameboy, gameboy advance, DS lite (still no NES
) . Play Station 1, PS2 , PS3 and PSP gen 1 and gen 3. I also have an intellivision system and the first gen X-Box. Sold my 2600 at a garage sale about 10 years ago for nothing with about 30 games including the chase the chuck wagon game
My three sons are all gamers and have got me back into playing somewhat. Bought an old school big screen for the kids to use with the game system. Still building onto their game room. Hope to have one of every system eventually. Thanks for making such a cool site with so much great info.

Hey guys, I'm 13, I like computer games, and if I play a console game, it's usually from the '90's I love TF2, Minecraft, and Terraria, though!

Welcome aboard, glad to have you! There's lots of folks over 30 here, and some over 40 as well. You should fit in just fine.icemanfan44 wrote:I am so old the first gaming system came out after I was born! I grew up with a 2600 and a TI99/4a (with the voice Synthesizer). Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Been reading on the forums here for a while and figured it was about time to introduce myself, especially if I ever want to use the B/S/T forums.
I've been gaming most of my life but only started really collecting about a year ago when I traded my Wii for a PS3 and then flipped the PS3 on craigslist for a bunch of retro games and systems. I haven't looked back since and have steadily added to my collection. Gotta love the retro game stores around here and there is always ebay, craigslist and swap meets.
Where my Racketboy Las Vegas peeps at?

I've been lurking for a little while, so It's probably about time I stepped on in and get where the action is.
Anyways, I'm Sean and I love video games -- specifically retro video games. It's always nice to find communities that appreciate the classics, so it's great to be here. I also maintain a blog and write for a couple of different websites, but I can save more of that for later.
First system I ever called my own was the SNES. My collection of systems dates all the way back to the Atari 2600 and Coleco Vision, so I like to think I've been properly exposed to the retro world. The most exciting thing about video games is that there are so many titles to get into, and there's always another classic to discover. Even though I've played tons of titles in my time, I still find myself running into games that I missed out on.
To name a few quick favorites: Final Fantasy IV, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Metroid, and any tribute to the classic arcade Pac-Man.
Again, I look forward to many more retro related encounters here!
