You will do much better if you keep it that way. There is no such thing as "the game", and people who claim to have knowledge of "the game" are: (1) delusional; and (2) douchebags.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:I have no fear but 0 knowledge of the game...
(Unless...of course...by "the game", you mean "Ms. Pac Man"...If that is the case, then you should definitely acquire some knowledge of "the game" ASAP because people who have knowledge of Ms. Pac Man are: (1) awesome; and (2) awesome.)
.....
Relax. Stop worrying so much. Be yourself. Be polite. Be respectful. Be sincere. Have a lot of fun. Make sure that companion is having a lot of fun.
If you follow these simple rules - which you should be following whenever you meet anyone socially - then you will be fine.

Double post; so, I will make the most of it...
Played through Portal yesterday!
...but I feel guilty about it because I am getting ready for a trial and have a ton of work ahead of me. (I have been working way, way too much recently, however, and the short break <hopefully> cleared my head a bit.)

I played through Portal for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I freaking loved the game. I didn't become attached to the companion cube though, I did what the test told me to do as Jinx watched me in horror. It was fun.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Double post; so, I will make the most of it...

When my school money drops and I get my new computer, I am so getting Portal 2. It might be my Christmas present to myself if circumstances permit.

I didn't have feelings for the companion cube either...GLaDOS, on the other hand...well...I felt bad for breaking her heart...KitKatCara wrote:I played through Portal for the first time a couple of weeks ago. EDIT: GlaDOS has so many great lines in that game...I think I am going to look up the script.

That is very cool, you picked a good unit that looks easy for her to play!Hobie-wan wrote:So a few months ago while at my Aunt's 90th birthday party, she pointed out that she had records, but no player. Spent some time looking for a little suitcase all in one player for her since she doesn't have room for, nor needs a big player or any fancy components. The other month I picked up an old GE Wildcat player for cheap off of CL. It wasn't working and ended up being much dirtier than I initially thought. Much cleaning, a new power cord, and a new needle and it's working pretty good.![]()
I think I'll just hold on until Christmas at this point, but I know she'll be super happy and will be able to play her stack of records now.

I've gotten the song from the ending stuck in my head a few times. Her lines were brilliant. The way they went about playing to your emotions made the experience so much better for me. The only thing I didn't like was that the game didn't really have much of a story line to it, but I was told that it addresses that in the second one. I don't want to look it up in case of spoilers.prfsnl_gmr wrote:I didn't have feelings for the companion cube either...GLaDOS, on the other hand...well...I felt bad for breaking her heart...KitKatCara wrote:I played through Portal for the first time a couple of weeks ago. When I finished the game, I made cupcakes. I had to.
