Go watch something you probably haven't, such as Dark Star instead.Pulsar_t wrote:
RIP Daniel O'Bannon. Time to rewatch all Alien films I reckon.
What was the last movie you've seen?

Watched Inglourious Basterds on Blu-ray a few nights back. That's the third time I've seen that movie and it hasn't gotten old yet. Also, I watched The Hangover on Blu-ray last night. It was really quite funny. Zach Galifinakis MADE that movie.

For some reason... Ben 10: Alien Swarm. Decent plot, shitty CGI effects. Pretty good so far.
FYI, the actor who plays Ben in this, Ryan Kelley, also played the title character in the Lifetime made-for-TV docudrama Prayers for Bobby, with Sigorney Weaver as his character's mother. It's based on a real-life story of a young man (Kelley) named Bobby Griffith, a gay teen who commits suicide due to the religious intolerance of his mother (Weaver, who won a Primetime Emmy for her portrayal as Mary Griffith) and his community.

I watched Avatar last night at a 3D cinema.
It was a good movie, but I don't understand what's all the hype about. There was a good setting but the plot was too common.

"the hype" is fabricated by James Cameron. If the same movie came out by an unknown director, it would be an overlooked generic sci-fi flick instead of an overhyped generic sci-fi flick.reina wrote:I watched Avatar last night at a 3D cinema.

The dialogue is funny bad/bad bad, but the environments were pretty incredible. The Na'vi still look really silly to me.reina wrote:I watched Avatar last night at a 3D cinema.

But! I did like the nods to ALIENS.

I can't get over the way those blue people look. For such a big budget movie they look really crappy to me.

I'll be watching it just as soon as the avi is done converting. Screw you, Cameron!reina wrote:I watched Avatar last night at a 3D cinema.

I last saw Strange Brew. It was very stupid, but funny.
