Added. :)

I've done random online play with MK7 before. Is it easy for us to play some races together?

I'm pretty sure MK7 has a lobby system for friends!

Alright cool, got you both added.

I'm down for MK if anyone else is. I'm not too familiar with it yet, so I may suck

Here's a good reason to keep your 3DS XL in a hard pouch if you take it on the go. Even if it is in a seemingly safe spot in your backpack.

Same issue that happens with the regular 3DS despite the XL's better design. Probably got squished in my backpack.

Pretty annoyed because one of the scratches is very noticeable in use.

Man those lines were so annoying on my original 3ds, I didnt even take it anywhere with me, they just happened naturally. Both my wife's and my XL have been free from that issue so far, though she does want a case now that she takes it to work to play Animal Crossing on her lunch.

Yea. I called Nintendo and they said it'd be $135. And to top it off I might not even get the Pikachu 3DS XL back if i send it in. They asked me whether I would be okay with red and black, blue and black, or pink and white if they had to change the color.

It's just a glued on piece of cheap plastic. Unfortunately I didn't see the part listed on eBay. Wish they'd use something like gorilla glass instead.

Anyway, definitely not worth $135 to get it fixed at this point. If there start to be a lot more noticeable scratches when the system is in use I may have to do send it in. Right now most of them aren't that bad. Just that one bigger/deeper one.

Yea. Though it's sad that you have to use a screen protector to protect a 3DS from itself.

So does anyone have Mario Tennis? If so how is it compared to the others?

I am about to sell or trade Heroes of Ruin and have my eye on either Mario Tennis or Mario Kart. Either should be fine but I am 50/50 on Mario Tennis (the series is up and dowon for me)

Yeah, I put screen protectors on everything. It's annoying (just applying them is a pain), but they make a difference. I have two 3DS systems (not XL) with Hori screen protectors, and there's not a scratch on them to this day

My Vita has light scratches on the rear touch panel, but I think they were there before I got it since it was a pre own and I didn't complain since I got it so cheap. One nice thing about screen protectors is that they can make light scratches practically disappear. I applied one on the Vita and the only scratches I see now are on the parts of the rear panel not covered by the protector. The Vita is even more annoying than the 3DS. You need a protector on the front, on the back, and I even applied a silicone skin on the system for good measure. I have pretty much every part of that system except buttons and plugs/ports covered in something

Vita screen doesn't scratch as easily. Uses gorilla glass. Not flimsy plastic. Didn't use a screen protector on my Vita and never got a scratch on it. Sold it to a friend recently. My new Miku Vita has a screen protector on it because that's how it came. Plus it's themed with the rest of the Miku Vita. I won't be taking it off unless it gets too scratched up.

Maybe not the screen, but the back part is just begging for scratches. That drives me nuts. I didn't know the screen was that tough though
