That's high praise from you considering it was a comic book movie.dsheinem wrote:saw the new X-men movie. It was ok.
What was the last movie you've seen?

There's 7 of them now? I'd say it is maybe 3rd or 4th best...IMO X3 is the biggest stinker but none of them are really that bad tbh. I like the whole series much more than all the Avengers related films.dunpeal2064 wrote:Where would you place it compared to the other movies?

Man, I didn't expect to dislike Godzilla as much as I did. Didn't like Bryan Cranston (I think he's one of the more overrated actors these days anyway), didn't find the evil monsters scary, and just found the whole thing pretty boring. I could barely keep my eyes open D:
That said, the effects were fantastic; I really liked how the movie looked, that's for sure.

Final Fantasy IX is the best one

Sounds good to me (just give me some warning because I will have to line up a babysitter). I actually took my mother to Bistro La Bon for brunch this weekend and ate waaaayyyy too much food. (My parents were in town for a weekend with their grandchildren, and the restaurant is within walking distance from my house.)Luke wrote:You, me, my wife, and yours at Bisto La Bon for small plates and video game and movie talk before the year ends.

Went and saw Godzilla over the weekend and really liked it. Didn't realize it was a versus movie so that was cool. I'm not a Godzilla connoisseur so I'm not sure how it stacks up with other Godzilla movies, but I enjoyed it and loved how gigantic he was.

Saw Days of Future Past. For some reason the tickets were really cheap, which was nice. Anyway, the film is good but not great. There's a lot of stuff that's "just go with it" and I found a couple of characters motives to be unclear or simplistic. And as a result of inserting X-men in with the First Class mutants some characters get pushed to the fringes. It's also pretty amusing how Bryan Singer has taken over complete authorial control of the series and decided to just erase X-men 3 and Wolverine: Origins from the canon. I also wouldn't stay for the post-credit sequence; just look it up online.

Umm, so the last hour of Mission to Mars and the last 30min of Soldier. Both decent movies with good actors IMHO. Except Garry Busey, I don't get how he gets work... Then again Soldier is from 1998 so yeah.

Non-Stop
Is it me, or has the nonsense in action flicks crossed some sort of low threshold that it wasn't supposed to? Who wrote this script? 4 Liam Neesons out of 10 Julianne Moores.

Eating way too much is a sign of a terrific restaurant.
Withing walking distance? Maybe I won't have to pay for parking then

This might be my favorite KS film despite all of its flaws. In all honesty, it is a movie you would expect to see on TBS or VH1 on a Sunday afternoon. But I love it.
The direction is sub par, the acting is atrocious at times, and the script is just so so. But everyone gives it their all and it ends up being likeable. I don't get tired of it, which is something I can't say about most flicks.
edit* So talks are being made for "An American THE RAID franchise".
Please studios, don't tug on Superman's cape, don't spit into the wind. Don't pull on the mask of the Lone ranger and please don't mess with Maddog.

I remember we made a top KS movie list last year, and honestly I can't remember where I placed this one, but it was def #1 or #2 for sure. I absolutely fell in love with this movie the first time I watched it for all the same reasons as you.Luke wrote:prfsnl_gmr wrote:
