My apologies
I did not mean any offense to others that work in a game store. Most employees are honest. Its just that I have had issues in the past where an inexpensive but online pricey game was held and when I got to the store, the game got "accidently" sold.
Why I avoid calling ahead
For example, there was a GBA Donkey Kong 3, in which showed only one copy nation wide. I will drive to another nearby city, but not all the way across the country for a game that I really want. My local Gamestop called the manager at the other distant store for the transfer. The manager at the other Gamestop realized the rarity and flat out told us over the phone he was keeping the game for himself! The bastard would not have known the game was buried in the drawer until the phone call, we basically found the game for him.
If a rare game is spotted do not call ahead but drive there if local. The picture below is an old listing, the Manager bought my call in copy. Luckily I had the last laugh, having found a CIB import version at a decent price. The Europe version includes a larger sized manual, GBA carts have no region lock.
