Toho put that really shitty Godzilla in a kid's dream movie in their really nice looking box set of Godzilla DVDs, so I doubted that GDTDH was left off intentionally. There's a 5 month gap between the release of this box set and GDTDH.Stark wrote:Ahh you and your plausible explanations...MrPopo wrote:Or that box set released before GDTDH came out on disc.Stark wrote:Save hard on this Die Hard 25th Anniversary set that includes all 4 films and lots of extra for just 20 bucks. I guess everyone is trying to pretend that A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD doesn't exist.
What was the last movie you've seen?

My young children axtually enjoyed Godzilla's Revenge quite a bit. I thought it was terrible, but it certainly pleased the pre-school set when we watched it a few months ago...
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
You should have your children watch the other classic, Bambi Meets Godzilla:

It's almost as classic as the time Charles Barkley played Godzilla in basketball. Which is totally canon.

Is The Wicker Man that bad?
People watch B-movies because it fits the saying "So bad its good" . At least, thats the idea formed in my mind after reading about the topic, the cheesier the better.
But the production values really kill the movie. When you can tell Godzilla is a toy, you do not take it seriously .AppleQueso wrote:Your first mistake is assuming that B-movie = "bad movie"RCBH928 wrote:I dunno...
All those Godzilla movies look like B-movies. No one should be complaining about the '98 version.
It doesn't.

The 1973 film is fantastic, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I have not read anything good about the 2006 remake, however.RCBH928 wrote:Is The Wicker Man that bad?

Due to their lower production values, "B-movies" cannot use special effects and action sequences to mask a bad script, poor acting, poor editing, etc. Accordingly, the best "B-movies" are often much better made than their big budget counterparts. This is particularly true in the film noir and horror genres, and many of the best films in those genres would have been regarded as "B-movies" at the time of their release. (The Night of the Living Dead is one of the very best horror films of its generation, and its budget was well-below that of other movies of the time.) By modern standards, the most recent Riddick film - with a budget in the tens, rather than hundreds, millions - might also be considered a "B movie". I nonetheless found in vastly better and more entertaining than any of the Star Wars prequels.RCBH928 wrote:People watch B-movies because it fits the saying "So bad its good" . The remake is good Rifftrax fodder, but that's the only way I've watched it.RCBH928 wrote:Is The Wicker Man that bad?
Compared to plenty of other MST3k/Rifftrax movies, it's not too bad, but that's not saying a whole lot.

Nick Cage's The Wicker Man is hilariously horrible.isiolia wrote:The remake is good Rifftrax fodder, but that's the only way I've watched it.RCBH928 wrote:Is The Wicker Man that bad?
