What are you eating?
Re: What are you eating?
Just had McDonalds chicken nuggets and fries.
I only get fast food a few times a year thesedays.
Already feels like the diarrhea is boiling up.

I still like Elevation Burger better than Five Guys.

Me too!BoneSnapDeez wrote:I still like Elevation Burger better than Five Guys.
Cook Out kills both of them, however.
Oh, and for the record, In-N-Out Burger is better than Five Guys, but not as good as Elevation Burger. I haven't tried Smashburger yet, but I have heard good things about it.
Re: What are you eating?
I visited the In-N-Out Burger on Fisherman's Wharf when I was at a conference last year in San Francisco. It was not as good as Five Guys, no siree. Five Guys has really unreliable fries, though. All too often they are undercooked and soggy at the place closest to me.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Oh, and for the record, In-N-Out Burger is better than Five Guys, but not as good as Elevation Burger..

Re: What are you eating?
There aren't any very near me so I don't get to eat there very often but I love the place and always try to eat there when I pass by. Simple and satisfying.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I went to Five Guys for the first time today and all I have to say is

No it doesn't beat most legendary mom and pop burger joints but for what it is it's fantastic.
I always hear conflicting reports about them though. I think location is important.

Re: What are you eating?
Five Guys is too expensive for the food you get. Just getting a soda at Five guys costs like two and a half dollars.
Ten dollars for a burger? I mean... they're good, but for that kind of money you could get a restaurant quality burger at a sit down place like Ruby Tuesday, Logan's, or Chili's.
The only thing I can afford at Five Guys is the Peanuts.

Re: What are you eating?
It's $7 for a double patty and $5 for a single unless you're getting premium toppings like bacon. That's not that much more than a quarter pounder at McDonalds for a much better burger so I don't know what you guys are on about with the price unless it's more in your area for whatever reason.
But I'm also not a fan of getting burgers at sit-down restaurants. I usually find those overpriced for what they are.
Their soda prices are ridiculous though.

I'm a big Taco Bell fan and I'm there every week, so I had the newest offering, the Naked Chicken Chalupa. With a fried chicken shell. It's REALLY good, but not $3.19 good, it's VERY small too.
