There's a small new game shop in town.

A bit overpriced, but I did manage to find this:

oXbox System Link Cable NIB €8

And he had a working Vectrex with Mine Storm on his counter... 8)

Never actually saw one in real life before. And I must say, I was surprised at how sharp those graphics looked. Must've been quite revolutionary back then...

It even makes that TV look even smaller! A nice match!

@ elmagicochrisg - How much was that Vectrex? I assume its PAL/NTSC region free since its a Vector screen. :D
They are nice units, you really should snag it.

Michi wrote:That one thrift store I really like to go to seems to get a steady trickle of Gameboy related items. Found this today while browsing. One of the workers had literally just put it out as I walked up to the counter.

<Black Gameboy - Games - Storage Case>

The batteries inside this thing are set to expire 'March 2013', so someone must have been using this thing up until fairly recently. The system's in great shape too. No nicks, or scratches of any kind, and other than Tetris all the other games are new additions.

It would have cost me $7.50, but I still have some money left on my gift certificate so it ended up being free. Sweet :D
:shock: Great Find! I wonder how rare that black Gameboy is?

I didn't ask since 99 percent of his stuff was moderately to very overpriced. If he already asks €45 for a loose Mega Drive...

Besides, can't buy everything. Already bought that Mitsubishi projector a few weeks ago, so it's cheapass time for me now. Heh... Projector was well worth it though. Super silent, deepest blacks you'll ever see on a projector, high contrast, 3 meters 16:9 diagonal image...

Outrun 2 was never that much fun... :mrgreen:

Picked up 3 original Xboxes from CL, came with power and A/V for one and a 360 controller for $20. Turns out only one Xbox works and the controller needs some serious cleaning. I think I still came out on top.

I have no idea. I'm assuming it's part of the Play It Loud! series, but hell if I can find any sales information about the various Game Boy reincarnations. I know the series came out in 1995, one year before Pocket and that the original Game Boy line ended somewhere around 1999. So, who knows *shrugs*

I do like the black casing quite a bit, though. I think it makes for a sleeker looking brick.
