:) I just found out author Brandon Sanderson will be in town for a book signing tomorrow night. I've never been to one before, but I enjoy his work and am considering heaeing out there.

I had a pretty horrible experience with my roommate my first semester—I swindled a single my second semester, and held onto it for deal life, until studying abroad; after which I was in an apartment—but, I probably knew more people who either loved, or were ambivalent about their roommates, than people who were in my situation.

If you happen to know, or meet someone, who you think would make for a good roommate, I believe most universities honer roommate requests as a priority. Mine did, at least.

I only had a roommate for 3 semesters. Then it was single rooms until graduation. I preferred to live alone. Could do whatever I wanted and didn't have to worry about someone walking in while I was fapping.

Does it cost more to have a room to yourself?

FTFY

I had roommates every year but my sophomore year of college. They were all awesome in different ways, and I am still close friends with many of them (which kind of makes me wonder whether I was the bad roommate... ).

 : My front left tire has 10 pounds less pressure then my other 3 tires :P. Checked the pressure earlier and noticed it was a few pounds below what I usually keep it at. So I went to fill it up only to have a busted air compressor drain another 4 pounds of pressure, and then a broken hand pump bleed another pound :P. Needless to say I am kind of pissed at my Dad right now for keeping so much broken shit around and not bothering to tell anyone about it :X. Wouldn't be so pissed if we had another pump around but he has misplaced or sold our other two back up hand pumps.

Well I ended up marrying the person I started dating at age 19.... So not much hooking up with "hot girls" - just "girl."

And yeah oxy - a single room costs more. It was worth it to me tho.

Your wife is totally cool; so, I am not going to say that you missed out on anything...but I did not meet my wife until I was 23...so...I suspect that our college experiences were a little bit different...
