No idea. Looks like a fake cartridge with a ring welded on or something. Still, much cheaper than most collector's editions with this sort of stuff in it.

Gold ring inside a Genesis cart based case. I guess it's supposed to be like the ring was cast inside it.

There's a download card in there. So it does technically include the game, just not a physical copy.

Understandable, just saying, it does include the game, given that gameless collector's editions do exist. :lol:

Though - to a point - there's actually some logic to that. Pair the merch with whatever version of the game you want, physical, digital, PC, console, whatever.


That said, you could pretty much look at it like a $70 Sonic statue with a free game, and still be doing fairly well. The most comparable one I can see is the 25th anniversary statue, which seems to be in the $50-80 range, and it's a good bit smaller.
