Goodwill pricing is based off of who is knowledgeable in any given topic. It could also be that the price-r doesn't know what the values are and prices it all the same ($2.99 universally). The supervisors usually ask me if a game is priced accordingly. I do tend to price them up, but no where near Ebay/online prices. They usually fall under $10 anyway.
People are just cheap when they think about Goodwill stores always having to have lowest possible prices. They aren't the lowly Salavation Army junk stores.

Drove to Portland (Maine, not Oregon) yesterday to meet with a craigslist seller. Got my first big find of the year....

Damn, Bone. Awesome find. Intellivision was the first console in my household growing up, mainly used by my older siblings. I didn't even know we had one until I found it in the basement when I was ~12 years old. I 'inherited' it, but sadly it's one of the things I sold off to buy a dreamcast at launch. No regrets, but I kinda wish I still had it for nostalgia sake.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

Nice work, Bone! With AD&D, Astrosmash, and Utopia, you have some of the very best games on the system too! I am quite jealous! Send me a PM if there are any specific games that you want to add to your collection. I come across them surprisingly often, and I would be happy to pick up some games for your new system.
Congrats!

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Ive quickly learned that EVERY game at goodwill regardless of case deserves a look at the disc. I would say something like 40% of the time its the wrong game in the case.storino03 wrote:Goodwill:

Its been good and bad. I once found a copy of Street Fighter 3rd strike for DC but inside was an nba2k. Ive also found a copy of fzero gx but inside were both fzero and mario sunshine.

I knew it had sonic dx in the case, but bought it for the insert and manual. so then I just have to find a disc only of colosseum.
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Started playing Contra 4 on Nintendo DS about a week ago and it really created an itch to play all the Contra games I've missed out on in the post-NES era. So I picked up Contra: Legacy of War (PS1), Contra: Shattered Soldier (PS2), and Neo Contra (PS2 (sealed)), all complete for a total of around $47 with shipping. Not really great deals (though Legacy of War was only $4.50 shipped) but not too bad either considering they were bought individually. I really want to get the rest of the Contra games but it's going to be tough finding them cheap.
