Don't stop to drop off your orbs every lap. Fly up over the level beginning/end thingie to keep going around. That way you are delayed less. Once you have a good route, you can just zip along collecting everything until you are running low on time, and then you just drop off all the orbs at once. Then the timer resets and you move to the next course of the level. That is the single most impactful revelation I had when trying to get a handle on that game.noiseredux wrote:well I ranked C on one level in Nights, but D on the other five so it'll be a while before I can get to the final level. Still... damn. Great game. So glad I took the time to actually understand this one.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Wait, let me correct myself... Don't deposit the orbs until you have enough. Don't make multiple stops to deposit small numbers of orbs. But, once you have the right number, deposit them, and then fly over the level start to keep going to use all your bonus time. So DO deposit the orbs as soon as possible (once you have enough), but don't end the level until you've used as much of the bonus time as you can without turning back into the kid.

The continual flying vs the knock down long walking of the Saturn version makes Wii Nights so much betterExhuminator wrote:People talk about NiGHTS fairly often, for Saturn.
But no one ever seems to talk about this: <Wii Nights Journey Of Dreams>

The Wii version of Rodea is very very good, information with pics here:Xeogred wrote:So is Rodea any good? Last I looked at some videos of it, it just looked awkward.
Think it's the same creator or something. Haven't played Nights either though.

Yeah I've heard from reliable sources such as CRTGAMER above, that the Wii version of Rodea is good. (I own it, not played it just yet.) I've heard less favorable opinions of the Wii U and 3DS versions. Good news is, you can buy the Rodea Wii U with the Wii version off eBay brand new for $18 right now. Look for the packaging with the red sticker that says BONUS GAME INSIDE.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Nice. It is such a solid game. Like you, I absolutely loved it once it clicked with me.noiseredux wrote:well I ranked C on one level in Nights, but D on the other five so it'll be a while before I can get to the final level. At some point, I need to pick up a copy of Christmas Nights, and I still need to play through the Wii sequel.
