What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

No shit.

Also, the woman directing the film version is married to the guy from Kick-Ass and Godzilla.

But what I really wanna hear is when to expect the film version of Wicked? Though there's a rumor that Lea Michelle's gonna play Elphaba ( :D ) and Fiyero's gonna be played by Harry Styles ( :x ). I can see Lea Michelle as Elphaba since she's the closest we'll ever get to a young Idina Menzel (I mean, Menzel did play Michelle's biological mother on Glee), but there's better choices to play Fiyero.

Oh, and the only good thing about no news of a City Infernal film adaptation is that there's still a chance for me to get in on that.

Also, who's interested in the forthcoming Jem movie?

Saw Muppets Most Wanted. It was very.... Muppet-y. I enjoyed it a bit more than the previous one since Walter wasn't the sole focus this time around (Thank goodness).

Also saw Captain America: The Winter Soldier. That was an enjoyable popcorn flick. Mom actually wanted to go see it with me because Robert Redford was in it. I think she ended up being a smidgin disappointed

Also re-watched Frozen. I still think it's adorable, but I can also see why people are calling it unbalanced. The first half is almost obscenely music heavy compared to the second half. Out of the nine songs on the soundtrack six of them are played in the first 40 minutes, leaving the last three songs to fill out the next hour (Including that horrible troll song. I hate the troll song). I'm not sure what they could have done to fix that, though. Added some more scenes to the first half? Nixed Love is an Open Door? I'm not sure. The song arrangement doesn't really hurt the film, it just makes it feel a bit lopsided.

On the plus side, Let It Go and the sequence that accompanies it is still gorgeous. It makes me want to go re-listen to the Wicked soundtrack. Defying Gravity here I come...

I always figured that wouldn't happen until ticket sales started to go down. Last I looked they were still selling out shows.

Well, actually they said that due to the success of the recent Les Miz movie, they'd try to fast-track the Wicked film adaptation.

And since she probably won't be able to pass as a college-age character, does anyone else kinda wanna see Idina Menzel (the original Elphaba) as a cameo? I kinda wanna see her as Elphaba's mother, unless there's a time skip after Defying Gravity leading into Thank Goodness at which point it'd be feasible to see Menzel return as Elphaba.

And no one's bitching about the pre-adolescent dweeb from One Direction rumored to play Fiyero?

I enjoyed every other song in the flick, but that one was TERRIBLE. Even my 3 year old daughter fast forwards through it. It was like they had to add something else to the trolls for no reason what so ever. I think it would have been better if Hans sang an evil song or something, like every other Disney villain.

There is too much in the air about it. Crowdsourcing costumes is a crazy idea for a feature and do they even have a production company yet?

No, no. Fiyero is either the latest club slammer by Pit Bull or a Mexican high flying wrestler.
