Just saw avatar in imax 3d. It was good. The special effects were ridiculous. The movie's plot was really predictable though. It is definitely the first movie I have ever seen that didn't use the whole 3d thing as a gimmick. Overall definitely worth seeing but is by no means one of the greatest movies ever.

Meh.
Also, apparently Eli Roth is going to remake this.

Just saw Avatar--definitely the most interesting movie-going experience I've ever had...and nothing about it really had to do much with the movie.
It was kind of funny because I knew next to nothing about this movie, but my sister and her husband were in town and he wanted me to go see it with him so I said sure. I was most surprised upon seeing the main character in a wheelchair; being a wheelchair-user myself, it sort of gave me a somewhat personal interest in the movie.
So yeah, it was a fun movie--especially the visuals. Anyway, as the credits were rolling and people were filing out, I could sense people staring at me as I walked over to my wheelchair. Now, I'm totally used to this by now--it's pretty much just human nature to notice stuff out of the ordinary like that. However, on this occasion I looked back at those staring (which they were), and to my surprise, their staring had this like...thoughtful aura to it, or something...kinda weird.
I ended up being approached by one person in the theater who jokingly asked me if I'd trade my wheelchair for blue skin. I laughed and said, "Well, maybe if I was paraplegic, but it's all good because my dick works just fine!" *cue the lulz* (side note: I know some paraplegics are still able to have sex, but I digress...) Anyway, I mentioned I had cerebral palsy and was still able to live of life full of religious fulfillment and tom foolery...and that was pretty much that.
Yay for movies!

^^^-I liked that story!
Today I watched Basket Case and Creepshow, both great films in their own respect, but I had no idea Creepshow was 2 hours long( I should have looked at the back of the box!!)

Yeah, this movie was pretty meh. I mean not terrible. But. This poster makes it look a lot better though. Haha. If Roth remakes it, I'll see it. He's on my short list of new directors that I will see all films.
Last movie I watched: The Carter.

Re-watched Rocky IV again. Holds up as ridiculously awesome.
As long as Eli Roth isn't acting in it, I'd watch the revamped FUNHOUSE.

Long Time Dead. It's a British film about Ouija boards and summoning demons by accident, the Djinn in particular. I liked it, pretty suspenseful at times. They didn't rely on special effects (like the dancing goat in Drag Me To Hell, which was also about the Djinn I think). There were like two special effects moments that involved changing the pupil shape of the eyes. Good movie, I recommend it.
