You should join up with em and I for some strike missions. They are a blast.
Was that the thing in the beta that had like three sections? First part was horde mode, second part was Devil Tank, third part was purple eye ball? That was awesome, although I only did it once. I'll join, I think I need em's PSN.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Here's a link to some codes that will get you cosmetic stuff like new emblems and clothes shaders. They all work across the systems. It's not much but it's okay.

Headed back on now to PvP. I'm scurred.

Edit: Well, I did some PvP and it was mostly painless although some of the stuff I was worried about in the beta has come to pass. It still has bad feedback when under fire and you die very fast. Not a good combination. And it isn't currently properly balanced in my opinion.

I already get the feeling that either build of the Titan will dominate play as it's supers are very hard to counter and it has the most versatile grenade options. I don't think a bad jump really compensates for that. It might be that I fought a few decent Titan players but an invincible shield and a frog splash that kills everything in a fairly wide radius seem much better than the other moves on offer at the moment. We'll see though.

It can and will be fixed and improved over time but to be honest the PvP is more COD than Halo which that's a turn off for me.

Away from that, I see the game has received some very mixed reviews in the press although I also wonder how much I can trust a review for a game such as this so close to launch, good or bad.

Yeah this is a good way of going about it but even then they obviously haven't played the PvP much as they mistakenly say there are 4 maps and the review concludes by saying next weeks Raid mode addition might alter the score. So what do they want, a proper review or an early review?

I haven't played it and don't play on doing so. Just tossed up there as it came across my radar today. However that's one of those "why didn't they wait to release to release that with the game then?" questions. So if you buy the game and have crap internet or buy the game after they stop supporting it you won't have that extra stuff then?

It is an online only game, very MMO-like, so there is no getting stuff if you dont have internet.

I don't get the mixed/negative reviews at all, or how sites like Polygon or GameSpot are giving it 6/10s. I've thoroughly enjoyed the ~14 hours or so I've sunk into it so far and can see coming back to it regularly for at least the next month or more (and through whatever expansions came with the season pass).

To put it in perspective, Polygon rated this game lower than they rated Resistance Burning Skies, Defiance, or Cabella's Dangerous Hunts 2013 and Gamespot rated it lower than Blacksite: Area 51, X-Blades, or LOTR: Conquest. That's inane, and strikes of click-grubbing...

i can see people giving it an 8/10 or such, but to my mind it is one of the best/most interesting FPSs I have played in the past year or so. These reviewers are bonkers.

I dont know Dave, I kind of agree with them.

The graphics are superb, the feel is spot on, and the mechanics are very sound. However, they dont do much with it. AI is below average to average, and the content gets old fast. Maybe they are extra harsh because of the potential it fails to live up to.

lvl6 Warlock so far. Add me on PSN If you'd like: ZenErik.

It's fun so far because I am playing with friends. Not sure how much I would play otherwise. I feel like it could be so much more, from what I am hearing, but it's still enjoyable at the point I am at.
