Good. I don't think I'd want to see what your physical copies look like.
"Why is this game manual sticky?"
No. Just no.

Tires, no. Every other non wear item on a car be original and have the correct matching serial numbers on the frame, body, engine, and transmission and such, yes. In the car collecting world matching serials on some vehicles is a big deal. There are also issues with people modifying the lesser versions into the high end versions, making a 'clone' and then trying to pass them off at the real more desirable versions. Of course between rust, accidents, and modification over the years, it's more difficult to find 'all original' vehicles.

Why, are half of them going to disintegrate in 6 months time? Yes there will be some lost due to damage, but it isn't going to get significantly more rare than it is now or when production stops. Harder to purchase, sure as does anything that is no longer made and on sale. Rising in price, sure if people like the game and want to hold onto their copy instead of having tons of them floating around the market constantly changing hands.

Do I really need to explain why a poorly-received, niche RPG with a small print run will be difficult to track down later? Though it is easier to find JP and EU versions of this game, NA versions are significantly harder to find and are trending upward. For collectors, it's an interesting title, especially if you like obscure games.

If you want to nab it before the price goes up, that's different from nabbing it because you think it will be "rare."
Truth be told, with the internet, it's hard to really think of much out there that's genuinely "rare". The vast majority of games you can acquire really quickly provided you've got enough cash to throw around.

I nominate pretty much any 8-bit sunsoft game that came out in Europe but not America.
Trip World, Ufouria and Mr. Gimmick are crazy hard to find.
That said, as if to prove me a wrong, there is a copy of Ufouria on eBay right now, Buy It Now for £90.
Edit: Oh, and a cartridge only copy of Trip World for £220. Think thats the 2nd ever copy I've seen on eBay UK.

I didn't say that NOTHING is genuinely rare, just that the vast majority of stuff out there isn't, especially if we're talking just domestic US releases, as importing things throws in an extra layer of stuff to worry about.

Yeah, I get that. I don't buy things early because of rarity myself, but definitely if I foresee a price spike in their future.
Kicking myself for not buying Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn back when seeing it for £10-15 in shops was a common thing. Awakening came out and that price has tripled minimum.
