Umihara Kawase is an obscure, Japan-only puzzle game that's quite good, but also quite rare and fetches absurd prices. Luckily, it has been remade a few times, and the DS import is much cheaper. Still, it's a SFC classic!

This is my fav Snes game of all time, it had everything Zombies, Dragons, Hackers, Super Corporations, Orcs, Trolls, Guns, Cyborgs, Magic, Mermaids, Shady Back Alley Doctors...the list just keeps going.

the different game play styles through out the game really ups the play value for me.

at times you will be in shootouts in dark alleys, other times in seedy bars trying to gather information like a point and click adventure, you can go and hire allies to cover your back when you go into the action areas, and still even other times you will be in a hacking interface.

I go back through and play through this game at least once a year.

117. Kirby's Dream Course


You really can't go wrong with this unique golf game for the SNES. It's not a simple matter of getting a ball in to a hole, instead Kirby is the ball and you must destroy enemies throughout each course in order to change the final enemy in to the hole. Some enemies give Kirby different abilities adding many different twists to the gameplay.

I absolutely loved this game growing up and rented it multiple times. The multiplayer is some of the best on the SNES, while the single player mode is very fun and also very challenging. So challenging that as a kid I never had the patience or skill to finish it. I recently purchased this game and finally beat it for the first time...only to find out through gamefaqs that there are an additional 8 courses that can be unlocked by getting certain par requirements on the 8 standard courses. I've been working on doing this for about a week and have been tearing my hair out over shots being missed by a millimeter, but I love every second of it.
