mjmjr25's Gameroom - Walkthrough of Lower Level (pics) 2.14
Re: mjmjr25's Gameroom, let's talk wood, new pics in last po
The second chassis I borrowed from a buddy did the trick - not the monitor after all (on my astro city). My buddy is going to let me buy this chassis off him - so i'm pretty pleased to have salvaged this cab.
In other good news - my "Mega Man: The Power Battle" CPS2 board arrived today. This is a superb platform-boss fight. My boys beat it on 9 combined credits - so I think I should be able to 1cc it, we shall see.
And in more good news - my RSG and Pro Gear CP's arrived today as well. I don't have all the buttons I need - so I just used some stuff I have laying around. I'll prob stick with a red/black motif on the RSG and get rid of the yellow.

Awesome, dood.
Glad to hear the Astro is up and running again. Those CP's are sweet, too. Liking the Pro Gear especially.

That'll shoot holes all day
I have a Makita (cordless), Panasonic (cordless), and Milwaukee (corded).
A corded drill is great for long projects, particularly in a confined area. Don't overheat and never a lack of power. Typically corded drills only have one speed - FAST. You'll still want a cordless one as well, for things that require more "finesse" and a slower drill, and for things like "one screw only" or other projects where you just want to grab n' go w/o finding an extension cord, etc.
Since you now have a powerhouse for your corded model, you can go something less powerful (expensive) for your cordless. I'd recommend something that comes w/2 or 3 batteries and at least 12V (lightweight, decent power) as opposed to 18V which will be much more pricey and heavy - which you don't need now that you have the Makita. Bosch and DeWalt make excellent 12V models.
The nice thing about that impact driver is you can also use it as a poor man's hammer drill and save yrself $300 there. Just get a decent masonry bit and you'll b plowing through concrete and brick, as needed of course
