Random Gaming Thoughts
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Has something so random ever happened to you guys though? My only guess is that it got more humid than normal the other night or something, or the sticker was starting to fall off and unaligned itself a little. I have no idea. I had used my PS4 a day or two before and have had it for years. Suddenly, sticker has moved and it's all weird and sticky. It was really bad too, super sticky stuff, couldn't just wipe my hands off something, had to wash them down good. Removed the sticker and it was all gunky. Maybe Elkin really did come over here while I was asleep...

The other night while playing P.N.03, one of the side cushions of my generic GameCube controller fell off while I was playing. I think the intense heat of my hardcore gaming hands heat up the adhesive so much it just liquefied and fell off. So I got out the electric tape and fixed it like I didn't give a damn. Because I didn't. I was only using that generic controller because it has a turbo function, which was a necessity for P.N.03.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Hah, I see. Maybe my PS4 controller was melting at the awesomeness of how good Odallus' CRT screen effect is and it melted away through the night until I picked it up again.

Alien Wars EX didn't impress me at all. It's a watered down mix of Contra III (SNES) with the 2 overhead levels replaced with 2 levels from Hard Corps (Genesis). The price it was commanding when I bought it was too much, but I managed to find a good deal, and I ended up trading it to the local game store for credit.Damm64 wrote:Never though that Ninja Gaiden and contra on the game boy would be this fun. Just beated NG and working on contra. I find it more fun and responding than alien wars ex on gba.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I had a weird troubleshooting experience with my gf's PS4 yesterday.
It was constantly trying to eject a disc, even with no disc in the console. Googled it: tried standing it up, nothing. Tried re-installing the system data, which pretty much resets the console, still happening.
Turns out the power button had built up static, and that static was triggering the eject button. Just had to unplug and stick my hand on it for a bit to discharge it.
So if this happens to anyone, try that before wiping everything off of your console

That's happened to me five or six times. It hasn't happened much lately - maybe I ended up putting it in a less static-prone environment when I moved? - but it used to be a not uncommon nuisance.dunpeal2064 wrote:I had a weird troubleshooting experience with my gf's PS4 yesterday.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Yeah, but since it's running in an emulator that meant absolutely no chance of getting a western localized release.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
So..is Cross Edge any good? Or is it kinda of just a fan service game?

Cross Edge has a deeper combat system then you might suspect, but on the flip side you need to exploit that combat system if you don't want to get murdered horribly. I'd say the combat is more involved than Neptunia's, if that gives you any indication. I'd also say the game goes on for a bit too long, and that's before the extra levels from unlocking the true path (and the sheer inanity of the requirements for doing so suck so hard).
