What RPG are you playing right now?

For sure. The 360 version is region locked so I can't play it on my J360. Are there any improvements in the PS3 version which came out over a year later?

Yeah, you can play as Crescendo and Serenade who were NPCs in the 360 version. There's also the clothing/costumes system and two extra bosses.

How far into the game are you? A couple of the later bosses are really challenging.

Eternal Sonata really blew me away with the environments; at the time the only games I'd played on my PS3 were all dark colors.

I gotta admit the game did look amazing, but the story/characters didn't pull me in. I never got that far.

Eternal Sonata had such a unique, original story. I did find the characters a little "meh" though. Great RPG.

I tried to play EarthBound... again...

It still hasn't clicked. I should enjoy it because I like the early DQ style gameplay but the game's "charm" doesn't work out as it should.

I had the same experience. I love Dragon Warrior (just played through the first game again recently on the NES). I wanted to love Earthbound. In the end, it was just… boring. I love Super NES RPGs, but this one is just not doing anything for me.

I'm currently playing through Final Fantasy II, of course. Secret of Evermore got put on hold, but at least it is near the start of the game and at a good point to pause, so I won't forget what I was doing and have to start over later.

Still on the last boss of Romancing SaGa 3. I ended up reloading an older save and snagged Shadow Servant for my damage dealers; once I get my weapon and magic levels up some more I'll give the final boss a try again. Hopefully this time I'll have the damage output to outrace his dark form.

About 8 hours into Dragon Warrior 7. Most of that was spent playing for 7-7.5 hours str8 since 8pm. Mostly cuz I missed the first seven minutes of Taxi Driver, and then around 10 said "I can watch Strange Days on NetFlix".
