Picked up a few games out of town for some decent prices.

Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) - $15
Super Castlevania IV (SNES) - $15
Ultima: Quest of the Avatar (NES) - $10 (this one was mostly for nostalgia lol)

Running into an issue with Castlevania though... it freezes immediately after the opening cutscene. Cart looks clean and everything too... I'll try to clean it anyway and hope the issue gets fixed :(

Rummage-A-Rama at Wisconsin State Fair:

Banjo-Kazooie N64 (Cart only): $5.00

He had Earthbound, but wouldn't budge on the $200 price tag. If I wanted online prices, I would buy it online. I hate sellers like that.

Anyway

Half Price Books:

Pokemon Gold (Gameboy): $10
Star Wars Jedi Academy (Xbox): $10
Star Ocean First Departure Guide: $7

This.

You have no idea how often I've actually said that to yard sale and flea market people.

I usually say if I bought it on amazon that would include a 20% that you don't have to pay. If they aren't going to play ball, just walk away.

Red Racks

I just got back from visiting family in Maine, and I picked up the following:

Image

(I apparently cut Super Mario Advance out of the picture...)

Steel Diver (3DS) and The Last Story (Wii) were gifts, and I spent about $50 on the rest. All of the PS1 and PS2 games are complete, and from what I can tell, my $5 copy of Pokemon Yellow was the best deal.

In any event, I am happy to add these games to my collection. I always enjoy NES games that were ported to the PS1 (i.e., Black Bass & Blue Marlin), and I hope to add the PS1 version of The Three Stooges to my collection at come point. Super Mario Advance is one of those extremely common - but nonetheless somewhat expensive - games that taunt me because I often find it but am too cheap to purchase it at market value. Finally, I have the beginning of an unlicensed Genesis games collection, and Hardball III brings the total number of unlicensed Genesis games in my collection up to three. (I also have Hardball and Star Control.) As a bonus, the game included all of the "trading cards" showcasing other Accolade releases such as Bubsy, Double Dragon, Mega Turrican, and Universal Soldier.

I dont know if Wclem, the awesome husband I have, posted this, but we picked up "Kid Dracula" cart only for $30 at our local resale shop. I know this is about the going rate, but I had to have it.

Since our Pittsburgh trip, we have been picking up some Wii games at discount prices wherever we can find them. Added roughly 15 more to the collection. Had to pick up another shelf, as we are running out of room!

We also got a smoke N64 console with matching controller. I believe we only need the jungle green controller and we will have completed our N64 deck collection! It's been a fun journey!

I can update you all where we are with the collection soon, hopefully with new pics of the set up, as it is now.

(BTW, My husband IS way cool! To the MAX!)

For the Gameboy. The cart looks unused and the label is near pristine. I hear the game itself is very entertaining. I will have to give it a try!
