DAT ANIME.
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
A quote from an anime siteHobie-wan wrote: I wonder how the ADV release compares to the original AnimEigo one. I still haven't gotten around to watching mine.
I just talk to someone who own the ADV set. He pay 200 dollars on ebay for the last disc (7) as it's very rare because of a very limited production. Kinda wonder if I even want to open disc 2 to 7 as it's still seal up."Basically they both have the same remastered video. You will hear some say that one is better than the other, but for all intents and purposes they are the same.
The real differences come with the audio tracks. If you prefer Japanese audio then the Animeigo version is the best bet. The Japanese 2.0 audio was redone (cleaned up) on that one and it sounds much more crisp and clear. Many also say the Animeigo subtitles are better, but ADV also did an admirable effort with coloring and such, still Animeigo probably holds the edge in that regard. The ADV version has a 5.1 English audio track which is clear, but the 2.0 Japanese audio is pretty much the original recording and sounds just like it did in the 80's watching it on cheap TV speakers. So if you prefer your show in English but still want the option to watch it in Japanese from time to time that is your best bet.
Both came with quite a few extras and linear notes, but the unknown for me is whether the Thinpak version of ADV's release is stripped of extras (they do that sometimes). I can't answer that because I have the singles, so someone else will have to confirm whether or not all the extras come with the ADV version. Though obviously the linear notes will not.
But basically it comes down to how you prefer to watch anime. Animeigo has the clear Japanese audio, ADV has the clear English audio."

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Decided to save a few bucks (and do something a little creative) and slapped together my own trilogy collection of Hitman for the PS2 - only cost me $10 total (GameStop had a B2G1)

I plan on picking up other game series and giving them the custom jewel case treatment - they just look much cooler than your standard DVD case.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I have the Animeigo box set, I got it for free from Steve Yun, one of the writers from that weird "Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles" movie they made a few years ago. I was at Otakon and he had a giant robot discussion panel that I took part in.
I remember saying "Are you sure? I can just have this?" And he was like "Yeah, it's my giveaway." That made it worth the price of admission to the convention.
I'm not a big fan of Harmony Gold or what they continue to do to Macross but he was a great guy.

A couple good deals, both Dual Layer Discs and not that old of titles. Maybe too many returns of "defective" discs due to early Wii models having problems reading the two layers?
Wii Zelda Skyward Sword - $19.99 Frys
http://www.frys.com/product/6751945?sit ... IN_RSLT_PG

My local Frys clearanced this game out, so I requested a few shipped in from another store. This ensured that some would have the bonus music CD.
Wii Rayman Collection - $11.79 Walmart
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Raving-Rabbid ... i/15751935

Online order only for store pickup or home delivery for the three game compilation. This is weird, the individual packs cost more.

So what is going on? Maybe an overstock of the game or is there really a Dual Layer issue with the Wii console? I know the Wii U is out, but this is a huge recent released title that has such a drastic price cut at certain stores.flojocabron wrote:I should have waited for them to go down, (since I knew they would). At $9.97 each![]()
About a month ago I paid $25 for it. Still a good price mind you.

He could mean Twilight Princess, which is much cheaper in general.CRTGAMER wrote:
