Dude Where's My Car?

This is the best movie I've seen in a while. The plot is intricate, yet simple, the characters are human, EVERYTHING is a Chekhov Gun, and as a whole, is an enjoyable, trippy experience.

I give this movie as many thumbs up as I can find in the next few minutes.

Dude, if there is 1 reason this movie rocks other than Jessica Biel, it is Ving Rhames. He makes this movie.

SPOILERS, BUT YOU PROBABLY HAVE SEEN THIS MOVIE OR HAVE NO INTENTION OF SEEING IT

Saw the War of the Worlds Remake today. When I first saw it I thought it was amazing, and I hate Tom Cruise with the best of them. The one problem was that I watched a VERY shitty bootleg, which I assumed was covering up all the effects that sounded just amazing. After seeing it today in non-bootlegged form, I realized that there WERE no amazing effects. Still, I think it was a so-so movie. Some of the dialogue just ruined it though - like the tension between the father and son that resulted in the father just letting his son run away after one of the monsters or the completely unnecessary conflict between Cruise and psycho Tim Robbins who was so preoccupied with being a psycho that he probably wouldn't have noticed if Cruise and Fanning just left... nope, better kill him.

Religilous

It wasn't as enjoyable as Dawkin's The Root of All Evil, but it was fun nonetheless. :)

I really liked that movie, didn't Larry Charles direct that one?

MST3k The Movie - This Island Earth.

Not the best MST3k, but still oh so enjoyable. If you like cheesy scifi, or just like MST3k, it is a great flick. If it wasnt so damn expensive I would have my own puppets of the crew.

Two made-for-TV Christmas movies on ABC Family.

The first was "A Carol Christmas", another modern-day version of "A Christmas Carol", with Tori Spelling as Carol Cartman, a bitter talk show host, who finds herself having to see her past (where she was pushed to stardom by her Aunt Marla), her present (where her assitant dealt with almost losing her daughter to her ex-husband), and her future.

The second was "Holiday in Handcuffs", where Melissa Joan Hart (of "Clarissa Explains it All" and "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" fame) plays a waitress who kidnaps a businessman played by Mario Lopez. She takes him to her family's holiday get together up in the mountains. Funny and pretty good.

Another one was the Looney Toon version of "A Christmas Carol" entitled "Bah-Humduck!".

Watched Star Trek and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince last night. Watching The Mighty Ducks right now... This movie is so hilariously bad! I love it!

OK I just remembered that I watched The REPO Man the other night. I am guessing the forum member of the same name got his name from this?

Anyway, WOW. While I did love this movie, it dragged on from time to time. I hated the repo mans daughter with a passion, as she was basically your typical pop princess type singer. Overall I loved the whole idea and the music. Even if you don't like operas/musicals you need to watch this at least once. Its hard to describe so just watch it. NOW!!!
