Another World- This is the re-release of Out of this World (SNES) from way back in the day. Since I played this back in 1992, it took me about 1 and a half hours to 100%. The game is pretty short, and most of the puzzle solutions came back to me pretty quick. The graphics have been updated to polish out the polygons, although you can simply hit triangle to go back to the old graphics (I love it when updated games do this...Monkey Island had the same feature).

I still need to play Flashback and maybe revisit Heart of the Alien. I know both are "unoffical" sequels to the game. I watched a friend beat Heart of the Alien years ago and didn't care for the story.

1. Ogre Battle - PS1
2. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - PC
3. The Banner Saga - PC
4. Papers, Please - PC
5. Tactics Ogre LUCT - PSP (on Vita)
6. The Walking Dead Season 1 & 400 Days - PC
7. The Wolf Among Us - PC

Well, after beating TWD S1 and getting through Episode 3 of S2 (most recent release), I decided to jump into Telltale's other big recent P&C adventure. I knew I loved TWD world so I wasn't sure how much I would like TWAU. I actually really love the Fables world and didn't know it was a comic series prior to playing. I have now ordered the first book of the series.

This one has a noir type atmosphere and more branching choices. This one felt more like I was just watching and less action than TWD, but the story, graphics, and characters are well done. So, I suppose it can be a bit more engaging than just watching it as if it were a show, but as far as gameplay goes, it does lack a bit. You make a few choices about which directions you will go but otherwise the game and puzzles, if you can call them that, are very linear. The puzzles or interactions basically boil down to click every object until you have clicked them all.

19. Jumping Flash! 2 (PS1)
20. Virtual Boy Wario Land (VB)
21. Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition (PS3)
22. Nectaris: Military Madness (PS1)

It might have taken me 16+ hours, but I finally defeated the villainous Xenon Empire. (In doing so, I unlocked the original Military Madness (TG16), which is the next game I expect to appear on my list.)

Nectaris: Military Madness is, as I suspected, a very difficult, hex-mapped, turned-based strategy game. It is much, much more difficult than the games in the Advance Wars series, and each battle in the last 1/3 of the game took me several hours to complete. The game, which reuses the mechanics from the TG16 original, adds "intense 3D battle sequences"...that I turned off after the first of the main campaign's 16 maps. (I turned off the "not that intense 2D battle sequences" after the fourth map.) Accordingly, the game ends up looking almost identical to its TG16 predecessor.

The mechanics, however, are very solid, and the game is fun and addictive. Success in battle depends upon using your limited units in an efficient manner to maximize supporting fire, surrounding, and terrain effects. The computer is not a brilliant strategist by any means, but it never makes a tactical error. Moreover, its forces drastically outnumber and outgun the player's forces at the beginning of each battle. As a result, the game is consistently challenging despite the fact that the computer makes predictable and, sometimes, incredibly "stupid" moves.

My primary complaint with the game is that there is no way to expedite the computer's movements. As a result - and especially on the larger maps - waiting for the computer to take its turn can be very tedious. (Waiting for the computer to deploy and move dozens of units can take upwards of 5 minutes.) This minor complaint aside, I did enjoy the game, and I highly recommend it to any fans of turn-based strategy games. I am also looking forward to playing through the original Military Madness - which is included in its entirety on the disc - to see how it compares to the PS1 remake/sequel.

(The game is loaded with extra features, BTW. In addition to the 16 maps included in the main campaign, there are: (1) 16 even-more-challenging "reverse" maps; (2) 16 maps from the original TG16 campaign; (3) 16 even-more-challenging "reverse" maps from the original campaign; (4) 40+ mini-campaign maps; (5) a "two-player vs. xenon" mode; and (6) a level editor. Based on my time with the main campaign, I suspect that "completing" this game would take more than 75 frustration-filled hours.)

2- Red Dead Redemption (PS3)
3- Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare (PS3)
4- Bayonetta (PS3)
5- Doom 1 (Ps3) (BFG Edition)
6- The Last of Us (Ps3)
7- Condemned 2: Bloodshot (PS3)
8- Resident Evil: Revelations (Ps3)
9- King of Dragons (PSP)
10- Mercs (PSP)
11- Silent Hill: Downpour (PS3)
12- Dead Space (PS3)
13- Thief Gold (PC)
14- Crysis 3 (PS3)
15- Silent Hill Homecoming (Ps3)
16- Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion (3DS)
17- Pokemon Y (3DS)
18- Dead or Alive: Dimensions (3DS)
19- Mario & Luigi: Bower's inside story (DS)

20- Siren: New Translation (PS3)

Same game as blood curse but is the asian version (totally in english) lacks the making of documentary but is more cheaper.

So i finished the game last night but i needed some time to think about it since the story and ending are somewhat confusing, the best part is this game is a remake/retelling of the first game and this game does a BETTER job than the original to tell the history... glad i played this first otherwise i would go insane on the original.

The wiki description fits perfectly for the game "a stealth survival horror game". Usually on the survival horrors i have they either have you A) Loose any way to defend yourself or B) They give weapons to fight but the combat is really hard and the game looses some tension because of this. Now i found this game to balance out this two things perfectly since the pasing is like a T.V series (heck they even show trailers at the start and end of each trailer with the Siren logo at the end... feels totally like Lost) what mean with this is the game is secmented in more linear levels with specific objectives on each one, sometime you will play the same scenario more than once but with a different character with diferent objectives and you see more of the stage thanks to that specific character. Now this dosen't mean the game lacks any exploration, you can still find weapons (99% of them melee) and you can use them to fight back, you can use your fists too but you WILL die if you do this. Also you need to find certain items to reach the objectives, keys for the most part. Now the game builds the tension by making you unarmed by the start of every chapter/episode so you will have to sneak the enemies here comes the biggest mechanic of the game that you will use from the very moment you learn it, you dont get right away, sidejacking. With this ability you can enter in the vision of a enemy, by doing this the screen splits by half, and you can see the enemy patters and where they are. this feature becomes so convenient when you hide in closets or under structures.

The combat is basic mash the square button, you attack, things you hit die after some hits but all the enemies have weapons too so you can go and Rambo all the game. Once you get any kind of weapon you feel more safe since now you can fight back but the thing is your enemies never die they just past out, once a certain amount of time has passed they WILL stand again, pick their weapons and go bac to their routine so any sence of safety you get from having a weapon is almost lost.

Now the story itself is a bit confusing and was really engaging to me so i dont want to spoil that in any way ill give you a quick summary on the matter. There's a curse in a town in Japan and a american group of reporters find themselves in the middle of a sacrifial ritual that is interrupted by a teenage guy. The group runs away when they see the habitants of the town are after them to kill them adn they get separated.

Now there's some issues i had with the game but in overall i was able to not notice them since i was really into the game. For some people the camera will be way too close and drags the game in some areas where you have to explore and find a key or a really narrow path in the road that is vital to finish the objective. The game is hard in a good and bad way, and some areas are totally trial and error since you must figure things out. Also when sidejacking the framerate drops, im pretty sure this was intentional since this ability creates some tension on your character, but i can live with that drop as long i did the sidejacking on purpuse, when a enemy sees you and starts chasing you the game auto sidejacks this enemy so you know youre under big danger, but it dosent do it all the times.

Now i feel i went way too long on this but i really liked this game and i think i needed to talk about it. If you can pass on those of issues i mentioned above you will have one of the best survival horrors in your collection.

What is a good price on that version of Siren?
Well i got mine locally for 40$ but i think that is price it goes online. EU version is more expensive. Those 40$ well expend on my experience.

Holy shit, I'm on a streak. Wolfenstein: The New Order and Shovel Knight are both strong contenders for GOTY. And I'll just say anyone who hangs out on a retro gaming forum needs to play Shovel Knight right now. Wow.

I've played a lot of Way Forward games, but this first release by Yacht Club Games might just trump em all. Incredible!

I strongly hope this is just the beginning of a new series.
