This Pokemon Go craze has such huge mass appeal that not only is it crashing servers everywhere, but for the first time ever, my wife has independently downloaded a game and suggested that we play it together! Unheard of!

We played for the first time today. We caught a Squirtle in the back yard of our house, then walked around the block and picked up some Pokeballs at an item location in front of a local park. It was funny because there was a neighbor with her dog at the very same item spot, and we are all adults in our 30s or 40s, and there was this total awkwardness of not wanting to admit we were there to pick up Pokeballs, but then realizing we were all there for the same purpose and having a good old fashioned awkward laugh about it before running in separate directions to go catch some Weedles in the trees.

I took my children to a local park hunting for Pokémon on Monday. (We have gone Pokémon hunting after I get home from work every day since I downloaded the app.) Our intentions were obvious - my daughter even wore her Ash Ketchum baseball cap - but the five or six bearded hipsters obviously doing the same thing were a bit more guarded.

Finally after a decade of Amazon orders, I got something that is maybe permanently defective. An Xbox game that has a lot of weird residue on the inner ring of the disc, so the Xbox is giving me an error and can't read it. Tried the 360 but it's not backwards compatible. Have you guys ever seen this before and is there anything I can do about trying to get it off?

Luckily it was only dollars and the seller is refunding me, but I wonder if I can still remedy it.

That's residue from the game being resurfaced. They either did a poor job or the game was beyond repairable.

Yikes. No good then? It looks like scratches/residue directly on the disc, not something that could maybe come off.

Nintendo eshop cards make for great gifts until it's time to use them. Do I get Hyrule warriors dlc, the few smash characters I'm missing or virtual console titles on my 3ds? Decisions

If any of that gunk is built up past the plastic you can scrape it off (JUST THE INNER RING) to het it back to the correct height on the disc reader center clamp.

What would you recommend scraping it off with?
