Not here. Here we had a mild winter and a brutal summer. I'm with you guys. I could do autumn/winter/spring all year long and exile summer. I thought NYC would be cooler, but I guess I didn't go far enough north.pierrot wrote:Yeah, I love Fall. Would really like it if there were a place where it's just New England Autumn all year long. It was a pretty mild summer, where I am, aside from a few crazy weeks in June—or was it May—though.

Aww, come on down guys. It's a lovely 84 degrees and 71% humidity right now down here.

Head a few hours west/northwest by car, and you'll be in icicles hanging off your testicles territory before you know it.o.pwuaioc wrote:I guess I didn't go far enough north.

It was 95℉ with 74% humidity here. With the way some of you talk, I think a few of you would melt if you came this far south.Hobie-wan wrote:Aww, come on down guys. It's a lovely 84 degrees and 71% humidity right now down here.

I have the benefit of altitude, woods and thin population where I am. Are you not from NY originally, o-ster?o.pwuaioc wrote:Not here. Here we had a mild winter and a brutal summer. I did three years in the Florida as a kid. At the time, I loved it, but that was coming off of time in the AZ. I would have to be held at gunpoint to go back; and even then, I'd think about it.Michi wrote:With the way some of you talk, I think a few of you would melt if you came this far south.
As for seasons: love fall; like winter; hate spring; hate summer. (I feel like I'm playing Bang, Kill (Kill), Marry)

Negative. I've only been here for 2 years. Before that was 2 years in SF, and before that was way too many years in Memphis.pierrot wrote:I have the benefit of altitude, woods and thin population where I am. I was born that far south. Florida is only good when you can go to the beach. There's a reason our wedding was in Daytona Beach and not Orlando where I'm from.Michi wrote:With the way some of you talk, I think a few of you would melt if you came this far south.

Did you like SF or NY better?o.pwuaioc wrote: Negative. I've only been here for 2 years. Before that was 2 years in SF, and before that was way too many years in Memphis.

Smile: Last night was my Friday night, if that makes sense. Hung out with friends, beat Contra (again) lost in Double Dribble (last minute three sank me) and had adult beverages. I even had pick up and drop off service.
Frown: My wife dropped me off, but a friend drove me home. Which was weird because after offering me a ride (I had planned on crashing on my friend's house couch) she basically interrogated me.
"Why didn't your wife stay?"
She was tired
"How did you plan on getting home?"
I was going to crash and Pringles was going to drive me home tomorrow morning
"So you told him you were going to crash and didn't?"
Yerp
"Don't you think that bummed him out?"
No
"So why didn't you just stay if you said you were going to?"
Listen, I'd rather sleep in my bed with my wife than on a cat hair covered couch
Jesus. She offered the ride. I didn't break any hearts by not sleeping on someone's couch. It was past midnight too, and the guy does have a roommate.
