I've been trying to tinker with Crusader Kings II again and I'm just not getting it. I'm thinking maybe another Paradox game or non-Paradox but similar game would be a good idea. Or maybe some mods, I'm not sure...

Any suggestions? This reminds me of when I tried to get into Dwarf Fortress, it might just be a lost cause.

Personally, I got into Crusader Kings II myself after watching Quill18 play a ton of it on Youtube. I just sorta learned how to play from watching him and his explanations. The game has changed a bit since then, but I've never actually sat down and learned a game like that via the tutorial. Thus is the main reason why I've never tried to learn Europa Universalis III, even though I've owned it for years :/

The game is all about setting your own goals, and I personally have the most fun when I try and see how large a realm I can put together on iron man mode. Some people are more content to see just how long they can hold onto a realm, but I just feel like I'm wasting time if I'm not waging war and expanding my territory blob ;p

MrPopo, I think I have found the ultimate game for you! It takes place in a depressing techno-dystopian world, but it is populated with adorable kittaehs!

So Pokémon Go is getting people to go outside and discover all the horrors that lie there.

IMO, this might not be a bad thing since churches are (generally) safer areas, which would be good for kids who are using the app. Definitely better than the strip clubs and bars my friends are catching pokemon at.

One of the Gyms in town is located at a bar. Granted, it's a historic bar. But yeah, still a bar.

I wonder if the patrons inside are worried about the sudden influx of kids standing across the street, intensely glued to their phone screens muttering "Damn Pidgeot!"

It's true. A LOT of churches are Pokéstops, at least in my travels today. But a lot of other places are too. Check out my new Pokémon Go thread to see some of the stops I took pictures of.
