The romhacking SD3 patch probably just needed the header settings adjusted.

Anybody hear of a way to get roms to play off of the SD card yet (I've read it's been Rooted as well), I heard something about patching the IPS files may lead a way to load different games?

I was a bit curious what emulator cores they were using for the systems.

I can't believe i haven't heard of the BS version of Zelda, that looks pretty awesome. I have LTTP so I will give it a shot, I have had mixed luck with some IPS patches, but that seems like a nice legit sort of patch to get that obscure version of Zelda running.

Yeah someone even did the ancient stone tablets one so there's that. Not going to lie once I get on my zelda kick i'm going to have to try some of these hacks out since we never got those two because they were satellaview games...

Yeah sorry about that. From what I tried the Retron 5 doesn't support Famicom Disk System games at all...not just physically obviously, but doesn't emulate them either even when trying to convert to one. So with SMB2j I was stuck converting to the one of the various trashy hacks and all of them have the same issue...title screen borked, no cursor on game over screen. Most of the hacks won't work at all and will just grey screen on FCE Ultra/Retron 5.

I stand corrected actually. It will let you continue(pressing start at least) but seems to not be the continue like worked on the smb original. I will admit though it's hard as crap to play though  (and I thought i sucked at the original smb  )

I've got a real board/chips OLD famicom pirate cart of SMB2j. I should have my R5 back in the mail by end of UPS ship day on Monday. If I remember to check I'll have to see if it does the same.

Just wanted to say that apparently I missed a lot of sound detail on my regular SNES. F-Zero in the Retron 5 sounds a heck of a lot better. The visuals are amazing for one thing but the audio is too.
