Les Jeux Olympiques d'hiver 2014 on CKSH (Quebec channel). Nice all-day coverage.

I gotta find a way to get canadian or british coverage since you know..it is sunday and NBS has been running infomercials all morning and what coverage they do have is highly edited and filled with character pieces were you get more jabber than actual event footage.....argh!

Do Americans only get Canadian channels if they live in states near Canada? I've always had them. I have (at least) two right now on Time Warner Cable.
British coverage is good too. I usually watch that for the Summer Olympics (streaming from the internet).

I don't have cable...just local networks and I live right next to the border, but don't have access to any of it sadly.

That's cool. It'd be neat to see it from two perspectives.
Not the same thing, but when I was living in a small mountain town when I was kid we'd get a signal from an Oregon local CBS station out of the Medford area. But we were well inside of California and should have been getting the Chico, CA CBS station instead. I always thought that was weird.

Thanks. The show is available on Youtube btw, albeit in less-than-perfect quality.

Everything from the iconic theme music to the sombre episodic conclusions make this show a timeless classic. Unfortunately the effects aren't of the quality of Saving Private Ryan or Band of Brothers but they get the job done for the most part.

Anyone not watching True Detective is missing out on some excellent, dark drama. Fantastic episode tonight!

I never even knew R'as al Ghul had another daughter besides Talia in the comic books, but I bet BurningDoom did. You learn something new everyday
God, I hope this show gives us Batman some day. They've done such a good job with other DC characters
The character is awesome. Introduced within the last 10 years or so, she is older (from 19th century) and has access to one of the last lazarus pits...that was until she was killed by her sister (never proven) right before the New52 began.
From what I have read is that WB wants to keep it's movie properties separate from TV... At least that was their stance when this show started, so Nyssa is a stand in for Talia which means no Batman. Now with the shows and a Justice League movie, maybe the TV shows will mesh - I can't imagine a JL without the Flash.

I've mentioned it before, but I have a friend who hand picked the intro music for whatever late night show Jimmy Fallon was on, for 125 guests over a span of three years! ?uestlove even wrote the checks for him.
Not sure if Fallon will keep using the guy, but with Fallon taking over Leno's spot, my friend can say without hesitation that he was a part of the show. And I think that is pretty darned neat.

He's listed as CaptNish, and most of his suggestions are gold.

That reminds me, I saw the Roots play live in Philadelphia once. They were billed simply as "Roots" without the word "the" attached. It was a free concert on Independence day. Roots were opening for Goo Goo Dolls. It's always something when the opening act blows away the main act.
