Took one puff this morning with coffee, immediately felt gross. Stubbed out cig and threw it away. I think I've got this, y'all.

Haha, maybe that negative episode in your head will really help. Had an old friend that overcooked the drinking really badly once which had included a whole bottle butterscotch schnapps. After spending quite some time praying to the porcelain god with butterscotch flavor, even the smell of it makes him feel sick now.

This is how I am about any wino drinks: Wild Irish Rose, Dagger, Thunderbird, etc. Horrible scarring experience. Never again.

Similar take -- I threw a party at our apartment, he came home about 3 hours into the party because he had to work, decided to do a line of shots to "catch up"... so he lined up about 8 shots of buttershots, and then just carried the bottle with him for the rest of the night.

He can't touch anything butterscotch flavored anymore.

That WAS a great fucking party though. I was trying to get with this girl, and on a Tuesday she goes "What are you doing Friday? I want to meet your friends" so I had a fan-fucking-tastic party on 3 days notice. I wish I was still in my 20s and could do that again.

Wild Irish Rose. Yeesh. I have a picture (some place) of a 16 year old George Metzger gagging on his first sip at age fifteen. He proceeded to drink the bottle, yack it up, and rolled in his own vomit. Nothing like seeing a kid passed out in his front yard, covered in vomit, with a bottle of the Rose near by. Communion wine tastes better.

Thunderbird. Wowzers. My Father, while in Vietnam, went to a bar that solely sold Thunderbird. That was it. Nada else.

He said when you walked in, a bouncer gave you a cigar box to place your side-arm and knives in. You were patted down, as no weapons were allowed, although that didn't deter any fights from taking place.

My Father went with his Lt., Smokey, who had lost an eye (great story behind that too, but I digress). Pops said he was the only "White GI in the joint, and it was the roughest bar you'll never go to". He said like it was "Charlie's version of the Wild West, but with Thunderbird instead of whisky". Loud music, plenty of prostitutes (aka biscuits), booze, fights, gambling, with the smell of smoke and defecation (aka poop). He had to throw a few rabbit punches within the first few minutes of entering, but Smokey had his six.

It's an amazing world he lived in.

Nothing like seeing a kid passed out in his front yard, covered in vomit, with a bottle of the Rose near by.

Change front yard to back yard, vomit to mulch, and you've got only a small sliver of my harrowing experience.

Advancing in age is no reason to not have a party on three days notice—except for the fact that nobody will show up anymore. It's not you; it's them. I know this from personal experience, and I'm not even at 30 yet.

I have been listening to a LOT of Toto recently.

Any time I'm on 8-4 (last level in Super Mario Bros.), I pause and put on "Africa". Fantastic last-level song, for some reason.

Seems like every morning I watch sportscenter and an episode of Married With Children before leaving for work,

Man. I forgot the "Anti-Baby" episodes and how terrible things turned out. For those not in the know, the actress who played Peggy Bundy was indeed pregnant, and had a late term miscarriage. Devastating.
