How did you buy it if the sign says "machine not for sale???" Jokes aside, it looks like a Rockolla 400 series to me, but I am no jukebox expert. What is it?

It did at one time. Need to open it up tonight and see what I can get working, but it is full of 45's.

I'm not either, but I believe it is a Rockolla Princess Deluxe from 1967 or 1968. I was at an estate sale and I texted the serial number to my brother in law who looked it up. I haven't had a chance to do much research on it myself yet.

Did the picture get changed? Even in my pudding brain state I see "This Machine For Sale" stuck on it.

That is when what I like to call the "retro game boom" happened locally, and everyone and their brother thought it would be cool to collect these games. (also about the same time shows like American Pickers started gaining popularity.... go figure?)
I do this thing to weed out the re-sellers on Craigs. I post a game list with a few SNES games or something, then I put a super rare cart on there. If I get calls asking for just that cart, and super low ball prices for it, then I know I have a re-seller on my hands. I probe with some questions, just to be a dick. Then I call them out on it. Kinda sick, I know, but I get my jollies that way.
One guy wanted my copy of Mega X3 for $10. I saved his number in my phone. So when he was selling something of equally rare value, I called him on it. He didn't like that one bit. LOL.
I agree it was amazing till about this year. I think about.. 2010 it wasn't uncommon to see some one list their SNES boxed with a pile of amazing games including tactics ogre for $35. That was a real ad I missed because my new smart phone at the time wasn't sending emails.

I'm thinking I've missed your "amazing deal" ads, I find it hard to believe I would look over some one selling X3.
The question proposed here about where most of ones collection came from sounds like a good new thread idea.

I don't think you missed it man. I've done it a few times, you have to have seen them? I get calls on them all the time. Usually, I actually do have stuff for sale in the posts, I just like to throw in the random crazy rare thing to weed out the re-sellers and DB's.
I had an entire Zelda collection up a while ago (for good prices I might add) and I think I had X3 listed in that one.
oh, good idea on the thread by the way. We should have something like that. I'd participate. (Although I can't imagine that anyone would care how I got my collection, other than me. Ahhh.... nostalgia. LOL)

Don't you just hate it when you find a receiver and no controller?
Actually, its the oposite for me.
I keep finding the controlers all the time and I never buy them. Sometimes they are missing the battery cover.
But now I dont have an excuse to find those controlers again.
I just have to check and see if they have nice, non messed up analog sticks.
I found something today that reminded me of this conversation: A Logitech PS2 receiver
This makes me very happy, because a year ago I was at my local game shop and an older gentleman had a Logitech controller and was asking one of the owners if they had any receivers for them. They didn't, so he turned to me, saw my little stack of games and asked:
"You have a PS2?"
"Yes....."
"Well, then, Merry early Christmas!"
And I've had the useless thing sitting in the closet ever since. Now I've got to see if I can get it to work. Gotta see if I can scrounge up some batteries for the controller first though....
