Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Since its inception, I have not been a fan of Mighty No. 9's character design... aesthetically speaking. The gameplay looks very classic Mega Man-ish though, which is what people want I guess.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

I'm in the camp (not sure if it's actually a camp if the number of residents is 1, but I digress) that doesn't get the hate for this trailer. Shows off the gameplay in a stylish way and while the narration is stupid, it's supposed to be, and I kinda love it. Makes me chuckle a little every time.prfsnl_gmr wrote:The narration is pretty stupid, but I think that the game looks pretty cool. Holy cringe.

I thought it was rather tongue-in-cheek, myself. I don't get the overreaction, other than to dogpile with the already current overreaction to the game itself.

"make the bad guys cry like an anime fan on prom night"
Watching that video did remind me I need to get on playing this:
PLAY KING'S FIELD.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I dont blame that people are angry at that trailer in other circuntances it would be "Lol this trailer is awful" but considering that Number 9 has been delayed about 3 times, the studio went and make two more kickstarters before finishing the first project they promised and even before the game is finally released they are talking about a sequel.
Also just because the trailer is supposed to be bad dosent make it automatically good, it tried to be bad in a good way but ended up being terrible. And im on the side that kinda likes the trailer and thinks the gameplay shown looks fun.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
To be fair from what I understand Comcept and Inti Creates had nothing to do with the trailer, it was all Deep Silver's doing. Inti Creates CEO Takuya Aizu even cursed them out on Twitter for it.

What is everyone's thought on the Sega kart racing games? Are they really just Mario Kart clones or do they stand on their own?

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
IMO, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing (360/PS3) is at least as good as Mario Kart 8. I really, really enjoyed it, and it is absolutely stuffed with Sega fan service. (I mean...you can race as Alex Kidd and Opa Opa!)casterofdreams wrote:What is everyone's thought on the Sega kart racing games? Are they really just Mario Kart clones or do they stand on their own?

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Sonic Drift 2 on GG is decent, and I'd take Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed over Mario Kart 8 any day.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I haven't played the first one, but Racing Transformed does a lot different than Mario Kart. Has more going on with alternate vehicle modes and a variety of challenge types. Definitely stands on its own, and is well worth checking out if you like kart games.
