It looks like a toy. Something you could see being sold by street vendors in some low class beach resort tourist trap. After you see that monstrosity, it's weird to think that people in the 1980s thought that Intellivision, the wooden 2600, Odyssey 2 and the remodeled "VCR" NES were toys.

That made my brain hurt it was full of so much stupid. The few valid points were drowned out by all the fuckery.

The only good points were the RPG mechanis and the V.A.T.S, but since vats is totally optional i don't see a reason to bitch about it. The rest is just pure nonsensical nip picking from a person who is looking logic in a video game about a nuclear holocaust were the land is full of mutated creatures and humans. I can see 4chan all over this.

I wasn't a person "blind by the hype" when i saw FO3 in 2009 i though is OK and it didn't play it until last year and totally love it.

It's reasonable to expect logic from a game that is sequel to a game series that prior to the third installment didn't have any major flaws in it's logic.

I still need to play those to see the full picture. But from what i could see from gameplays FO3 works more as a reboot than a sequel. Still very good game to me.

Fallout 3 is a sequel to some of the most important RPGs of the 1990s and it was developed by people who didn't have anything to do with the original games. When people criticize Fallout 3 they don't criticize just the game on it's own merits alone, but also upon how faithful it is to the series and how well it succeeds in doing things the original games did back in 97/98. It's the same thing with all franchises that get rebooted/sold to another developer (Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Syndicate, Xcom etc).

I didn't mind Fallout 3. I never finished it because I got frustrated, but I didn't think it was a bad game.

Call of Duty is like the massive big budget Hollywood blockbuster summer popcorn muncher. It's fun to go and watch with friends, but chances are no-one is putting it on their list of favourite movies or using it as an example when talking about good movies.

It's the game you pop in when a bunch of buddies want to talk on Skype, but you need something that takes no brain power to pay attention to during the conversation.

That's without even getting into the lousy single player (why even bother making it) or the hugely unbalanced multiplayer . It might not deserve all the hate it gets, no, but calling it a "good game" is a stretch a best.

So it's a bad game? A bad game, at least for me, are games with extremely broken mechanics that it is impossible to enjoy. It is a "good" game, I didn't say GOTY.

I didn't either, but then I've never been a Pokemon fan. I was already in high school by the time that craze hit, so I was a little too old for it.
