Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
You got the whole Wii VC download idea down. On the plus side, when the WiiU virtual console fills out and there is overlap, you can plunk down nominal fee of roughly around a couple bucks to convert your wii virtual console games onto the wiiu

I've spoken against that very gracious "nominal fee" before. I think whenever I get a Wii U I'll just keep my transferred Wii VC games on the Wii mode and save my money for other things. I'm not paying Nintendo twice for a game I already purchased through their own shop.BogusMeatFactory wrote:You got the whole Wii VC download idea down. I don't think anyone will blame you for that decision.Opa Opa wrote:I've spoken against that very gracious "nominal fee" before. Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
I understand totally your decision to do so. For me, I don't have a Wii Pro Controller so I am going to just invest in it. I don't mind spending the extra cash. With the number of games that I had that used the Gamecube controller, it is honestly just cheaper to pay the fee than buy a wii pro controller.Opa Opa wrote: I've spoken against that very gracious "nominal fee" before. Like any sort of purchasing decision it all comes down to the individuals personal decision and whether or not it's worth it to them.BogusMeatFactory wrote:I understand totally your decision to do so. Also, there's an adapter that will let you use your GameCube controller as a classic controller connected to a wiimote.

You can access the Wii VC through Wii Mode on a Wii U. BUT you have to use Wii shop points to buy Wii VC games and cannot use a Wii U point card? And you have to boot Wii Mode on a Wii U to play games downloaded from the Wii VC?
Do I have that right?
haha good luck Nintendo...u'll need it

They'll be fine. I agree that things could be better, but I don't understand why people think Nintendo is doomed. The 3DS is likely going to pass DS sales someday. Even if the WiiU fails, and it won't, Nintendo will be doing fine.

Nintendo is like PC gaming. Happily doomed and dying since the late 90s.ZenErik wrote:They'll be fine. I agree that things could be better, but I don't understand why people think Nintendo is doomed. Older. Not wiser.

I figure for a lot of the people here, they're just mad that Nintendo beat Sega.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Nintendo is like PC gaming.
