Don't you just love when that happens.
Well I have to say that this is a first for me, but I hope it comes to happen a bit more. Since I'm new to Diablo I didn't even know they stopped putting the original in the set until I looked it up, but the set is very cool considering the price I paid lol.

And while I'm excited to try an early Tomb Raider (I've not really played in that series before) I am especially happy to have picked up a Mitch Hedberg DVD. All for less than $3.

I saw this in an abandoned music CDs bin, and I bought it only because of who made it (Bungie). However, I can't get it to load on my computer and I have absolutely no idea hat it is. Does anyone know what this is?
Cost me $0.50

Bungie released Marathon Infinity in 1996, exclusively for Mac. Maybe it has something to do with that?

If it is, I wouldn't be able to tell, I'm a Windows person.

Found this neat "docking bay" for NES games at Goodwill today, complete with all documentation. This thing looks like it was never even put together before, and the baggy with a couple of small parts had never even been opened. I had to put this bad boy together myself. haha

Paid $2.12.

There's a guy on GameTZ selling one of these things and honestly if it wasn't for that I probably wouldn't have even looked at the box twice, I saw the words "docking bay" and put two and two together. But if it weren't for that there's a pretty good chance I would've overlooked it.

How about some retro computers?

Today I picked up.................
Image
Texas Instruments TI-99/4A
This hooks up to the television like a Commodore 64. It came with one cartridge (a car racing game) which seemed to work fine, though I couldn't figure out the controls.

Image
Tandy Color Computer
Got a bunch of peripherals with this one. All the cartridge games work (except for "Music" which probably isn't a game anyway). I also got a decent number of floppy titles, but I couldn't figure out how to get disks to load.

Image
Tandy 1000
Couldn't get this to hook up to any of my monitors or my TV. It turns on though! Has a 3.5" floppy drive and a fan.

Image
Amstrad PC6400
Seems to work alright. Can't get past the opening screen because I don't have an old (non-USB) keyboard or mouse.

Image
Zeos
What the hell is a Zeos? I dunno, but I have one now. It's enormously huge and heavy. Surprisingly, it works with my current PC monitor. Again, I'm going to need an old mouse or keyboard to make progress.

Image
IBM Thinkpad
Windows 98, with a 3.5" floppy drive. I'll probably use this for DOS gaming.

Total cost for everything... $0. 8)

Found a guy on craigslist who was offering to give away his entire retro computer collection to "collectors, not resellers." He actually offered me 50(!!!) computers, but I politely declined. I didn't want to try to cram any more into my car, nor did I want to make multiple trips (he lived pretty far away, right near the Canadian border).

The only irritating thing is the fact that these computers were (and still are) filthy as hell. I spent about an hour cleaning before I even booted one up - and they still smell like old basement funk. Guess I may have to do some disassembly and really intense cleaning later. Can't complain too much about free stuff though.
