jealous dood. Good pick. Sure I've got it on PSP. Sure I could download on Wii VC. But still. Look how cool that artwork is!

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
This. The first series was put into production before the manga was finished, so Hiromu Arakawa gave the producer complete control over the story line. It went in a different direction totally, even creating some characters that weren't in the original story. While it is really good, it isn't as good as Brotherhood (in my opinion.) I watched the first series as a younger teen and liked it (think annoying fangirl like. I'll shamefully admit I was one of those for a short while), but when I went back and watched it again I liked it, but not as much as the first one. The second one is much darker and appeals to an older audience.Michi wrote:Both were very well received and while the first Fullmetal Alchemist is still quite popular, Brotherhood is now the preferred version of many fans.3DSStrider wrote:Would you say it's better or worse than the first anime? I don't like anime, but my friends convinced me to watch it and I thought it was ok, save for that stupid incomprehensible ending. I might start watching it someday, but not until I'm close to done with Star Trek and Kamen Rider.KitKatCara wrote:FMA: Brotherhood is freaking awesome as well. I have the manga, and some of the first series but not brotherhood yet. FMA overall is one of my favorite animes.
If you liked the first one, you'll like Brotherhood. Just keep in mind that Brotherhood more closely follows the source material, so once you pass a certain point the plots noticeably diverge. And Brotherhood's ending is quite final, so if that's your main concern you don't have that to worry about.
I'm here for your body.

Thanks, and I agree! The other releases are nice, but its just not the same.noiseredux wrote:jealous dood. Good pick. Sure I've got it on PSP. Sure I could download on Wii VC. But still. Look how cool that artwork is!
I'll probably pop this in and obsess over it the moment it arrives.
I also meant to respond to this sooner:
KitKatCara wrote:When I was in high school, I was in AF JR ROTC and we would volunteer at small airports on the weekends, and my instructor had a plane. After the event was over, he would take us up to fly and let us copilot. It was amazing! I will never forget flying over the woods and dive bombing his house. (he did it to mess with his neighbors, he was an awesome instructor)
I'm really glad that you got to experience that, it is truly a breath taking experience.
And thanks, I am too. I can say with confidence that it was one of the most wonderful things I've ever had the pleasure of doing.
If I can scrounge up the money, I'd love to get a private license. The idea of being able to go fly whenever I please is impossible to resist.

Oh man, Brotherhood was great. There were some things I liked better in FMA, but FMA Brotherhood is far superior IMO.
All this constant praise at work is making me paranoid. I think they're all lying and they're just building up my self-esteem so it hurts more when I get fired. Then they can all laugh at me...
Man, these tickets are tough but far more rewarding than what I was doing before. I hope I can get better and land this position. I think I'd enjoy my job a lot more if it was this all the time.
Super Godzilla tonight.
Need new glasses. These things are toast.

Frown: I interviewed a college kid for an available internship, and he was obviously stoned. Gravity bong stoned.
He couldn't look me in the eyes, he constantly fidgeted, and he smelled like bong water. After asking "Why are you interested in this internship" and "Why do you think you are the best fit for this position" he was dismissed. Shortest interview I've ever held.

I doubt he actually had spilled bong water on him. That was just Luke's way of saying he smelled of weed.oxymoron wrote:I've personally seen this MANY before. Now that would have been funny. Where do you work? If you don't mind me asking.

Why would you go to an interview under the influence of anything? What a moron.Luke wrote:Frown: I interviewed a college kid for an available internship, and he was obviously stoned. Gravity bong stoned.
