And speaking of school, I started studying for a College Algebra CLEP today... holy crap, I've forgotten everything beyond middle-school level algebra. This will be tough.

Is IRC still a thing? I remember when the internet was all about chatrooms. I remember racketboy had an IRC channel but everytime I went there it seemed dead with 4 members always on but away from the computer as it seems. I stopped logging in.

IRC is still definitely a thing and is still used widely in strange and unique ways. For instance, Twitch Plays Pokemon utilizes an IRC bot that translates people's chat input into player commands within the game.
Yeah, the Racketboy IRC is sometimes pretty quiet. It really depends on when you are there. You will see characters such as Cronozilla, Dunpeal, Stark, SpoonyBard and myself quiet regularly, but it all relies on timing!

Twitch Plays Pokemon is a helluva thing. Dat Helix Fossile.
Did you see what they did for the latest rendition. They are playing Pokemon Crystal right now and the creator edited the fight with Red to have the same final team of pokemon that Twitch Plays Pokemon had when they finished Fire Red. Kind of fitting to have a religion based around the Helix Fossil, only to have to face and kill their god later.
