... a fair point.

Will audit my 2600/5200/7800/Coleco collection on RFGeneration (I've neglected it for a while) soon and then poke at you. But in the meantime, feel free to hunt through it, I think it's fairly accurate. Same nickname there as it is here.

Also FS is my AES games (for anyone else who's curious), since I sold my AES... but I know I've sold off half of the AES games I have listed on RFGen. Off the top of my head all I have left is Eightman, Sengoku, KoF94 and Magician Lord. Maybe one more.

CFW is for more than just piracy. Honestly (even though I haven't installed it yet), the Virtual Boy emulator was one of my biggest draws. I love my Virtual Boy, but I would also love to have a more portable version of it. Also useful, playing out of region games. You could make the argument that yes, it's still circumventing Nintendo's copy protection, but in my eyes circumventing that protection to play games that you legally purchased is signficantly less wrong than pirating games.

But yeah, https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki is a full guide that takes you through it (assuming you haven't updated to 11.0.0 - if you have, you're currently SOL, but everything 10.7 and below is kosher)... I found it from reddit's 3dshacks forum. It's long (took me the better part of a day because of all the backups and copying NANDs and whatnot) but that just means there's almost no chance for you to screw it up because of all of those backups. Arm9LoaderHax or A9LH is the specific hack you want. I did that on my 3DS immediately (it came with 9.9 I think?) and am now rocking out on 11.0 with no problems and still full control of my system.

I think we talked about this already. Sengoku / Magician Lord are both ENG, yeah? If they aren't - youknowwho wants 'em.

Yeah we discussed this last week, all my stuff is now ENG other than KoF94, so it's useless to you.

Interestingly, MagLord was purchased from you back in the day ;)

I would love to do this to mine as can't get EU 3DS games out here but it's far too complicated for me.

I would encourage you to read the guide again, it's extremely in-depth and basically fool proof. As long as you follow it step by step (and it's marked a few places where there might be a problem - I ran into one of them but cleared it up easily enough), there's next to no chance of you bricking it.

I mean, if you truly don't feel comfortable, you do you... but the guide (while it seems intimidating at first) really comes down to "Put this on your SD card. Run stuff. Pull this off of your SD card" over and over about 6 times. It's long for sure (I see comments on the reddit thread saying between 6 and 12 hours for most people, I'd say it took me around 7, but the majority of it was just sitting around waiting for backups or files to copy, I was listening to music and playing WoW while I did it) but it's not particularly complicated.

And on the topic of "My tinkering is never done" as well as "RGB mods" that has been discussed in various threads I've been monitoring lately, and finally "tempting Bone"...

http://retrorgb.com/intellivision.html

Yep. The fuckers came up with an RGB mod for the Intellivision because fuck you

...yeah, it's on my list of things to do eventually now.

Hai.

Furthermore, I discovered today, you can actually apparently force individual titles to boot in certain regions. I'm still fairly new to this, but the 3dshacks Reddit and the various github wiki's are very informative with a bit of digging.
