That laugh! I love that they even made fun of it in the movie.BurningDoom wrote:Forgot all about this movie, and I used to love it! I could hear his weird laugh in my head as soon as I saw the poster. And then I though of Peter Griffen humming the theme song to this movie in the 80s time-travel episode, lol.
What was the last movie you've seen?

BHCII is every 80's sequel (think TMNT and TMNT II). Good, but not as great as the original.o.pwuaioc wrote: Excellent movie, but is II any good?
I think I burnt my wife out on 80s movies. In the past few months, we've watched Ghostbusters, Terminator 2 (yes, I know, technically 1991, but still, an 80s movie in thought and spirit, and she wanted to skip Terminator since it wasn't as critically acclaimed), Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, which meant I had to watch Top Gun and Beverly Hills Cop by myself (classics that never get old!). I'm trying to think of some more excellent quintessential 80s films to watch/rewatch. She's never seen ET, so that's next, and she's watched Back to the Future too many times to rewatch. I'm unsure whether she'd like Bill and Ted, especially so soon after Ferris Bueller, so maybe something a little less teenage-y? Any suggestions?
Definitely watch BILL AND TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE even if she doesn't like it.
NATIONAL LAMPOONS VACATION
WAYNE'S WORLD
PREDATOR
ROBOCOP
MR.MOM
GUNG-HO
PLATOON (it's a downer and a bit out of place in my list)
FLASHDANCE
TEEN WOLF
MONSTER SQUAD
FLETCH
REVENGE OF THE NERDS
BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA
...I could go on and on.

Some of these I know she won't like, like Predator or Platoon, despite that scene with Willem Dafoe. I'll probably have her watch Bill and Ted's anyway, just because of his huge it was even when I was a kid (that's legacy!), and she and I both love George Carlin.Luke wrote:BHCII is every 80's sequel (think TMNT and TMNT II). I haven't seen all of those you listed myself. I should rectify that, actually. Maybe I'll throw in Robocop and then ease the action with Flashdance. A compromise! All after ET, of course.

Man I love BHC... Just looking at those scenes where he's in Detroit prior to going to Beverly Hills is great.. Gill Hill is in the movie as well! But definitely Eddie's best along with 48 Hours..

Need to add Willow to the list. It is one of my favorite 80s movies.
Right up there with:
Empire Strikes Back and RotJ
Predator
Terminator
Lethal Weapon
The Road Warrior
Gremlins
Robocop
Aliens
Blade Runner
Actually, I think most of my favorite movies are from the 80s...
