Pretty sure someone was playing a DS in the handicapped stall.
It was me. And it was a 3DS. And SMT IV.

I heard this every day at the elementary school.

And it was always Pokemon.

 My brother is having another temper tantrum. I the "golden child" am the focus.

:? : My grandfather is still in the hospital. The hospital he is staying at pisses me off as well for a supposedly "religious" hospital their staff is filled with a variety of uncaring assholes, and they prefer to count money rather then treat patients :P.

:( : Parents are still quarreling over money which makes each day a roller coaster ride.

:( : I am the emotional punching bag and secret keeper of the family when someone has to vent, and there has been a lot of venting recently.

 : I can finally go out game hunting this weekend once I get my check tomorrow.

:D Got paid $20 to tutor a coworker's son in College Algebra. Finals are around the corner and I had to help build the fundamentals for a struggling student. It is very rewarding to help someone and approach math in a way that makes sense for them. I was worried when they didn't know some of the most basic stuff, but we were able to get some activities together to reinforce some of the concepts and principles for the bigger problems. I wasn't even expecting to get paid for it, so it was an even better bonus!

:| Feeling so sluggish and burnt out though. I have some work to do in my Government class before the final comes on Monday and I have zero desire to do it. Gotta muster together some strength to power through.

:D My birthday is a month away and my wife is planning a very secretive event for the big 3-0. She is great at surprises. Other highlights were getting my family around to securing me a DS phat when it launched for the holidays (an almost impossible task at the time) and for securing me a Dreamcast and Shenmue after I regrettably sold my when I was younger. She is the best wife ever!

After we split, my soon to be ex-wife owed me a big chunk of money for expenses I took care of since she was broke.

I received her check today, just under 5 grand, which is part of her share of the profit from back when I sold the house. We originally agreed that she would make payments, but she decided to send it all at once. Works for me.

Now I'm going to dash off to the bank to deposit, and I'm really going to enjoy that. I think I'll buy myself something nice.

Feels pretty good.

I hope this brings you closure and you're able to move on. And then maybe we'll see you around more? :)

I'm super bummed. Moira, my middle child that was diagnosed with HLH, actually does have the familial or primary version of it. We just got the genetics back a couple of days ago and even though we were assured by the medical staff that it was very unlikely that a child over the age of 2 would have primary HLH, she does. What this means is we have to forklift her immune system with a bone marrow transplant. All pretty overwhelming and scary. Her siblings are potential matches (~25-30% chance), but they have to be tested for HLH before they would be accepted as donors. Apparently Sara and I can't be a match, as the cells are "inherited" and are a combination of us.

If any of you have ever thought about being a bone marrow donor (I know I never have until now), now's the time! :) I believe it's a simple procedure to join (simple cheek swab), but you can get more facts here: http://bethematch.org/Join/FAQs_about_Joining.aspx#how

:( had surgery again today as my previous one didn't heal correctly. I am also in a lot more pain this time as he used a more intensive method.

:) it was successful and I will hopefully heal well. It is always good to wake up from anesthesia. That shit is no fun

Thanks man. And yeah, I think that can be arranged.

I'm very sorry to hear about your daughter. That's some scary stuff. I hope all goes well.
