Do you keep your machine up to date? OS, Browsers, Flash, Antivirus, and any antimalware? It could be junk capturing your passwords from your PC.RCBH928 wrote:So one of my emails got hacked into again... I am not sure if Microsoft did something wrong from their side but I just don't know how this keeps happening. Not only do I keep different password for each one of my accounts on EVERY WEBSITE OR SERVICE , I use complex passwords generated by 1password of 16 characters that not even I know them.
I spent another 45min updating my other emails passwords and updating 1password. God, this is so frustrating. How do hackers/crackers keep doing this?

How are you determining that you've been hacked?

Don't you get an email that says, "DANGER YOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN HACKED!!!! CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT WHAT TO DO!!!"MrPopo wrote:How are you determining that you've been hacked?
I think that is proof enough

@Hobie
Yes always the latest , I also use mac that I do not share with anyone. In fact, the email that got hacked is not my iphone's mail app, so not even if I use a public Wifi could some one intercept it.
I had Microsoft send me a code to another email which when I used it I could reset my password but I do not know what information did they get out of my account so I changed the passes to all my other e-mails accounts.
The real scary part was if someone hacked your account and did NOT change your password. I heard this once happened to a lady where for six months some one stalked her to get all the information so he could use her identity and private info to fool her bank or something like that.
An easy way to fix this is that they could show you when was the last log-in. That way you know if some one had been tampering with your material.

Well, how about my password does not work? I typed it in few times, doesn't work (1password does this automatically) . I thought maybe something with the browser, I used my iphone and nope, wrong password.MrPopo wrote:How are you determining that you've been hacked?

Most folks I know that have had their e-mail hacked usually find out by other people telling them that Russian spam is being sent from their account.

Surely! I even put them in decorative bags. My wife told me I was moaning softly around 2:00 when she took a bathroom break.BogusMeatFactory wrote:Can I have some?s1mplehumar wrote:Had the most random dream about me boiling peanuts for Christmas gifts.

Hopefully your boiled peanuts taste better than the canned ones. Those things were nasty.
