Well, I got the dsiXL in today and damn this thing is flippn filthy. Smells like smoke and pretty beat up.
I kow I got a good dead but damn, how dirty are people. Plus, I just turned it on and the screens flash for a split second and shut off so I know theres is some other issues here. I complained to the seller and waiting for a response.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
That sucks it's all nasty if you end up keeping it use a old toothbrush to scrub it good then take fabric softner sheet put one in the middle and one on each side put it in a freezer bag for 2-3 days that should kill the smoke smell or put fresh ground coffe in th bottom of a tupperware bowl cut a piece of plastic the size of the system put it in and seal shut flip system next day. Hopefully that kills the smell for you i have had a few systems it worked for.

Wow, thanks for those tips.
I'll give them a try.

TomCats Pawn
All for 360
Sleeping Dogs (CIB)

They would have been $8 each, but the credit card machine was down. I go in there every week. So I told the guy I had $20 cash and he gave them to me for $6 each.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Saw an ad on Gumtree for some games and a couple of systems, no prices.
As they were nearby I decided to go have a look.
The item's were owned by a collector so mostly in nice condition
Makes such a difference to get stuff that doesn't need loads of cleaning
I bought all I didn't own and a couple of items i already owned...

Lower GG requires cap fix

Seller acepted my first offer of £50
Not as cheap as the boot sale buys i've become use to but still a fair price, I think
Best for last...

£45 + shipping from right here:D

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Damn I love how PAL games look!

My latest (and very modest) haul from the Video Game Exchange (Augusta, Maine). Got a great deal on Crystalis and 10-Yard Fight was given to me for free.

Goodwill pick-ups. I probably overpaid on the Atari Flashback (I think the employees thought it was an actual 7800) but the Namco plug & play was only a couple bucks.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Flashback was around $10, which isn't too bad - it's cheaper than every used one on Amazon. Probably woulda been closer to $5 without the box.
Weird thing is, it looks like a 7800 but it's pre-loaded with 2600 games. The controllers also unplug so you can use actual 2600 controllers. I bet CRT has one of these.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Great 7800 find with the original box and Thanks. I actually have all three Flashbacks and was almost tempted to mod FB2 with a cart slot if not for the followup game Yars Return inside. Even though the Flashback One has nine pin joyports, it does not work with 2600, Genesis or real 7800 sticks. However, FB1 is a compact very nice machine for a couple obscure 7800 games built in.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Flashback was around $10, which isn't too bad - it's cheaper than every used one on Amazon. Red Racks (DAV run thrift store)
Phat Ds missing ac adapter and stylus but with mariokart ds and pokemon firered $9.98
I was really lucky with this one. It was marked as is (which means they didn't even take the time to check it/they knew it was missing the ac adapter). Had enough of a charge to power on. This will fill my ds needs as I botched a case upgrade on my lite.
