Thinking a racer would be cool, looking at both NFS or DriveClub. Sucks that both lack couch co-op, but could still provide some entertainment. My favorite racers are Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast, and F-Zero GX, in case that helps the suggestions.

Also looking at Dragon Age, Infamous, maybe one of the horror games? And of course Bloodborne.

Really down to play anything right now, so any suggestions are welcome!

Drop a pre order for Arkham Knight...

For now, I'd say Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition

There's also tons of good digital titles on PSN

If couch co-op is something you're looking for in general, not just from a racing game, then Diablo III would be worth considering as it supports up to four people. Makes it a bit like playing Gauntlet Legends or something.

I'd say the Last of Us remastered, but I'd half assume the system will include a voucher for it anyway.

I hope the XB1's backwards compatibility forces some kind of development from Sony. I know they're heavily invested in streaming services but some form of compatibility with PS3 games would be appreciated by PS4 owners.

Agreed. I was kind of surprised that we didn't hear any mention of at least adding PS1 or even PS2 backwards compatibility to the PS4. I doubt we will ever see BC for PS3 games, at least on the PS4, but PS1 and PS2 should be possible.

PS1 I'm surprised they haven't added. PS2 may be a stretch, and seeing HD remakes sell well probably removed motivation. PS3 is probably unlikely. I suspect that MS can do it more readily due to XBox games all using the same API, where I'm not sure what Sony has done.

Well Sony has already mentioned somewhere that the whole reason they took the gaikai route(or at least part of it) is because the structure of ps3 would've required way more processing power just to pull off the emulation for some odd reason. Which I guess makes sense sorta but not really but if that's the case then how in the world will gaikai be able to work with ps3 games? I'm more confused than I should be :?

Is there an official ps4 media remote control? If not, will the ps3 one work?

No and oddly they won't make one for some dumb unexplained(I think) reason, and PS3 remote won't work. I tried.

Yeah, the PS3 remote doesn't sync at all.

The only thing you can use besides a DS4 is a smart device with the Playstation app.
So, if you do that with your phone, I guess it's a replacement for a remote control (though not a great one)

The PS4 also supports HDMI-CEC so if your TV supports that you can use your TV remote for rudimentary actions. My TV is an idiot, though, and passes along all the repeat commands from the Remote's IR blaster. So, selecting things on PS4 is impossible, press right once, it ticks over four times. Play and pause work, though.

This is an explained move for a device that is supposed to be a media center. How about a 3rd party remote?
