IIRC, Origin scans and records data on your entire PC rather than just EA games. Their EULA also allows them to revoke digital rights if your account is inactive for two years. It's the most bullshit DRM I know of. Granted, I still use it for free games and a couple of sales on EA-only games (I got the C&C collection and Medal of Honor: Allied Assault for cheap, and a friend sent me Mass Effect Trilogy). I avoid it like the plague if there are any other options available to me. I MUCH prefer Steam. Battle.net isn't bad, and I don't mind Uplay that much, but I'm not a big fan of their interface.

Yeah, though I think that's more a mixed thing. My thought was more of when MS released the long-form, plain-English TOS for XBox and Kinect. I don't doubt that there's data collection going on n' all, but quite a lot that gets people up in arms is simply pointing out what a lot of modern tech is doing to function for what you bought it for.

There's also a clause tucked away in there that allows Electronic Arts to stitch you and other Origin members together into a human centipede whenever desired. Because there's nothing that gets Larry Probst off faster than watching Peter Moore blow his load in the backdoor of fives dudes who have been surgically forced to go ass-to-mouth.

I'm going to start a pool for how long until Noise gets back into consoles.

I'm just hoping long enough for him to sell me his NES games.
