What are you playing?
Re: What are you playing?
Finished up Bioshock Infinite last week. Since then, I've mostly been playing Shin Megami Tensei IV and Rogue Legacy while negotiating with the kids for gaming time on my other systems. They are obsessed with Minecraft.

Minecraft is turning into a franchise like Angry Birds.
I see lots of kids wearing Minecraft t-shirts.

Not sure if it has the same impact now, as it did back in the day. But when it came out, it blew me away. I know it's cool to hate on Halo now, but I don't care. It was a helluva game experience, and I'm not even a huge FPS fan.

Re: What are you playing?
The original Halo was a near perfect game, then they had to go and make all those damn sequels...
I'm not a big shooter guy, but Halo was fun. The controls were intuitive, graphics were great, music was excellent, story was cool, and the Covenant were memorable. Their AI was amazing even by today's standard. Not just because they were smart, but their personality shone through in their actions. Elites were aggressive and would talk smack to you, grunts would run in fear of you, awesome stuff.

^ I don't mind the sequels, at all. Halo 2 was the best in the entire series, as far as I'm concerned. More weapons, more vehicles, more enemy types, more multiplayer maps, online multiplayer added, and more than anything the story was just freaking epic. I know a lot of people hate the cliffhanger ending, but despite that I still loved it. I was on the edge of my seat through the whole thing and I loved how you got to see both The Master Chief and Arbitur's sides of things. And dat soundtrack!
