Metal Heads Assemble!!
Re: Metal Heads Assemble!!
Souls of Black is decent but their original sound was starting to get pretty stale at that point. The New Order is my favorite Testament album. All three of their first albums are great though.
The Gathering is really weird. It's rare for a group to release an album that is that good after they've exhausted their talent and ideas years ago. I didn't think Low or Demonic were very good as far as going for their new sound, but they nailed it with The Gathering and I almost put it up their with their old stuff. I didn't really like whatever the album was after The Gathering either.

that and Souls of Black are the only Testament records worth listening to, IMO. the Gathering rules mainly because of the "all-star" lineup that recorded it (Dave Lombardo, James Murphy, Steve DiGiorgio).AppleQueso wrote:Yeah Testament definitely aren't bad. They've got some good albums, I personally enjoy The Gathering.

Another thing I found funny, and I wish I could find the article, was it talking about a black metal artist who hated Christianity, blah blah blah, and tried as hard as possible to hate and avoid anything related. Yet Tolkien was one of the band's main lyrical bases.

I showed a few black metal videos to some friends and one of them mention if all the videos from every other band are done in the same woods.Auron_Amarth wrote:BoneSnapDeez wrote:Took some pictures outside my house...

For some reason I can't find a full version of that Immortal video on YouTube. Either that or the video is for an edited version of the song.
