That's an actual story. And it actually did get worse from there. Without going too much into detail: Orders were disobeyed, curfew was broken, a disco was fouled, a chain reaction of body fluids on a warm bus, an inert body left on the deck of a boat, and several careers almost ending well before they had properly begun.

But damn do I love screwdrivers!

My dad was an officer in the army and has a similar story of ending up naked in a truck cab yelling at an MP.

I thought Luke owned a mom-and-pop yarn store. Multiple jobs, maybe?

I'm the director of Internet sales for one of the world's largest textile companies, but I guess it would be fair to say "he sells yarn". Selling yarn it the biggest challenge of my job, as selling Under Armour/Thor-Lo/etc. products is pretty much cake (if you like UA or really nice socks, I have the hook up) but selling yarn isn't easy and I'm motivated by challenges.

Why is it so challenging? I'm glad I asked We outsource our fulfillment, which makes the sales all kinds of goofy. Example: Say we make a product that costs us $0.60. The fulfillment company purchases said product for $1.00. I have to repurchase the product back at $1.25 from the fulfillment company to sell to consumers for say $1.50, so my profit margin is shit. Plus yarn is bulky, but very light, so freight charges also cut down on margins. On top of that, yarn is a very seasonal product, and selling $40k of yarn on line a month isn't easy when it's 100 degrees outside. The flip side of that coin is that it is winter right now and in other countries bpeople will still be knitting, but again: freight. I don't have to tell you guys here how expensive intl shipping can be, and again, yarn is bulky. Economies of scale just doesn't exist in this business either, so I can't compete with retail discounts. It's tough, but it's also a lot of fun.

I'm thinking about buying Out Of This World. There are three versions which I have the system to run it on: PC, Genesis, and SNES. Does anyone have any opinions as to which version I should choose?

I heard the Sega CD version is pretty good. The PC version is the best one though and you can get it on GOG for 10 bucks.

Here's my experience with it.

Snes = Worst.

Genesis = Mediocre

PC = Played the remake demo and it looks and plays fantastic.

Sega CD = Best package but kinda hard to come by. Comes with OotW and its sequel, Heart of the Alien.

I haven't played the DOS or 3DO versions yet.

And the GBA port is freeware.

Apparently, the Saturn homebrew port is the best out of all of them, but I have heard excellent things about the 3DO version.
