Well, I just watched L'Armée des ombres. It's an extremely grim look at the French Resistance during WWII and some of the acts they had to commit for the sake of survival. The movie ends on an extremely depressing note, and only saw a US release in 2006, more than thirty years after its release. It's been hailed by some in France as the best movie covering the French Resistance, though it didn't do to well in its native country. Too bad, I really enjoyed it. The English title is Army of Shadows. Look it up!

just watched Redbelt. it was alright. wasn't as good as i was hoping, and the ending was rather abrupt.

also watched forgetting sarah marshall. it had some funny stuff, but in my opinion didnt live up to the 40 year old virgin or knocked up.

Hey Repo, you watch a lot of Independent film. I wanted to see if you'd heard of one. A friend recently recommended to me the movie "Brand Upon the Brain." Got any experience with it? Would you say it's any good?

I first watched it years ago, but for the longest time couldn't remember whether or not I saw the whole thing until they day before TDK released and I finally rewatched Batman Begins. Turns out I did watch it last time.

Though personally, I prefer the two Tim Burton Batman films. Nolan's gr8 but he changed WAY too much. What, no crazy gadgets? No unreal villains? And since when is The Joker just a psycho in make-up? THE JOKER DON'T NEED NO STINKIN MAKEUP!! But Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker was brilliant.

And to Christopher Nolan... The Joker Gas can work in your Batman films. Basically, it'd be an experimental nerve agent that first fills the victim with overwhelming euphoria, and the proceeds to ravage the internal organs, shutting them down and causing heavy damage. The pain is unbearable, but yet all you can do is laugh yourself to death.
