E3 2017
Re: E3 2017
I didn't notice the audio issues on my end with the twitch stream?
Overall, a very vanilla E3 for sure. Not a lot to say. My biggest takeaway from Sony's show is that this new Monster Hunter looks freaking awesome. I'm really bummed to not see any From Software reveal, but I've always seen Monster Hunter get comparisons there and it definitely looks kine of Souls-esque haha. So I might check this one out.
The David Cage game looks interesting setting wise at least.
Spiderman looks cool, but it's hilarious how they straight up ripped off Arkham's combat. I'm also pretty bored of city sandboxes, so I'm not sure what to think.
God of War looks promising and the combat looks great.
Days Gone doesn't interest me a lot, but maybe it could be cool. There were a few moments I liked in the showing.
Shadow of the Colossus remake looks amazing.

Was it last year that they unveiled Shenmue 3? It was definitely an interesting one.. This year's on the other hand, underwhelming because it's been there, done that.
Games, especially console-selling exclusives, are behemoth projects that take a lot of time and money and publishers need to do it by the numbers, to appeal to the mass market and recoup development costs. I don't envy them this arduous task.

As far as Days Gone goes, I'm all love. Don't know what it says about me, but that action adventure, Tomb Raider/Last of Us/Uncharted/Modern Zelda/Whatever style always holds my attention for some reason.

It was 2 years ago and last year was also phenomenal with the God of War, Last Guardian, Last of Us 2 etc. It was a huge onslaught of games.Pulsar_t wrote:Was it last year that they unveiled Shenmue 3? Sony was so underwhelming. It was just boring. Not terrible just boring.
Well up to Nintendo now. With only 25 minutes I don't expect much.

Lots of Mario, a tiny splattering of Splatoon, a little dash of Rabbids, Smash Bros. DX, and a bunch of indies. My guess.Xeogred wrote:20 minutes of Mario Odyssey probably.

...You maybe more right than you think. The leaked images of Nintendo's booth is basically what they did with Zelda only MO.Xeogred wrote:20 minutes of Mario Odyssey probably.

I joke a little since I don't really think it's a bad thing, more Odyssey is a thing I want to see a lot more of for sure. But yeah it would be nice to get some new announcements from Nintendo.

That certainly seemed to work for Zelda!Segata wrote:...You maybe more right than you think. The leaked images of Nintendo's booth is basically what they did with Zelda only MO.Xeogred wrote:20 minutes of Mario Odyssey probably.
I didn't even think they were gonna have a press conference. Thought they were just doin' a Nintendo Direct.
